Brenna is awesome!. Before I found Brenna I would go to a different haircutter every time I needed a haircut because nobody I went to could give me what I wanted. Once I found Brenna I don't trust anyone else to cut my hair. The reason Brenna is so good is because she has the ability to make the haircut you are imagining into a reality. I always get the haircut I want. Another benefit about Brenna's haircuts is that they grow out really well. My hair looks just as good 2 months after I get it cut as it does the day she cut it. Brenna is a hair genius and I'm so happy I found her.

Spruce Me Up anytime. Brenna is the best! I have been seeing her for 2.5 years now and followed her from her previous salon. Everytime I went in I tiptoed around the fact that deep down I really wanted to chop off my hair, but at the same time I was super attached to my hair because it took so long to grow out. An inch or 2 here and then 6 inches at once (scary moment) and then last week I went in for a major transformation. I have an awesome angled bob and shed 8 inches of hair. 2 years ago my hair was hitting my low back and then I went to mid back and now I am above my shoulders. Each time she was very patient and honest with me. She is super sweet and cute and I hope I have her as my stylist for years to come. It is nice having someone you trust and someone that you will wait to see.Thanks!!

Not just another Aveda Salon!!!. In 2008 I moved to Austin, TX and being the most culturally progressive city in Texas did not consider the difficulty I would have finding an Aveda concept salon offering the professional services that are required to be associated with the Aveda name. After 2 years of unsuccessfully trying out every Aveda salon in the capitol city, I was beginning to think I would never find an Aveda salon worthy of the reputation the brand achieved after years of associating itself with creative, fresh and experienced professionals. I was more than elated to be reading a local community newspaper announcing the grand opening of an Aveda salon not more than 5 minutes from my home. This would be a last ditch effort to stay true to a brand and concept I had grown very fond for the last decade. I made my appt with Leah (the owner and colorist) who I am completely ecstatic about the results she gives to my hair. I am also as pleased with Brenna and Shawna as stylists who have made me feel like my old self again when it comes to loving the way my hair looks and feels. I have been recommending this fantastic salon to everyone I know because I know how hard it is to trust the person who can either make or break your appearance. This fun and innovative salon does not have the pretentious airs of others but still exudes a classy modernism that won't leave you broke when you walk out the door. The fact that they have all the fabulous Aveda products I could ever want comes in a close second.

Finally .... I've been looking for a great hairstylist since I moved to Austin over a year ago and finally after visiting several salons I came to Spruce. Jo spent a long time talking about exactly what time cut I wanted and then gave me the best haircut I've had since moving here. True to the mission statement on their website - my cut was simple, sophisticated and sexy! The Aveda products Jo used were also great and not too heavy and she gave me tips for styling my hair at home. Jo also gives a relaxing, massage shampoo. Next visit I'm even going to go for the Mimosa they offered when I first walked in!

Great salon...no need to go downtown for Aveda salon. I have used this salon three times in the past several months. Could not have been happier. I used to go downtown and now I use Spruce, which is just minutes away.

Everyone there is spot on...service is great, whatever I have done to my hair I always am more than pleased.

A few days ago I had my hair "relaxed" with the Aveda product. My hair has always been frizzy and wavy. Now, I have what I've always wanted. Straight hair with a curve under at the bottom. Shawna did an absolute great job and knew exactly how to do the procedure.

I highly recommend Spruce Salon.

hair do heaven :). spruce is a great salon.

i'm the kind of girl that doesn't do much to look nice.

but once prom came around i knew that i'd have to fine a place that would have great stylists!

and spruce is great

they make you feel comfortable

offering you tea or a bevarage.

and it isn't awkward small talk at spruce

it's really a awesome place to

go get a haircut, get your hair dyed, or to get a nice do done for something like prom

the spruce team really made my senior prom

a memorable night

and everyone was jealous :)

Great place!. Went for my first time yesterday. It's a really modern, bright, funky-cool place and everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. Got a great cut, which has gotten me several compliments already. The owner, Leah, did my hair and did a great job, and we had a really fun conversation. I highly recommend the salon -- I'll go back. Especially for people in Westlake, it's great. Tell them Joe sent you.

Awesome Hair Color Thanks to Shawna!. I really can't recommend Shawna highly enough. I'd been coloring my hair dark for several years and was looking for a change. I went in to Spruce to see Shawna and she really took the time not only to listen to me, but showed me photos to make sure we were on the same page. Shawna did an AMAZING job with my new lighter hair color! I have never had so many compliments and have referred several people to her already. I went back to Spruce for a touch-up and my hair came out perfectly again, thanks to Shawna's magic touch! Thank you, Shawna!!!

Go See Shawna!!. I have gone to Shawna several times now and I love my hair! She always takes the time to figure out exactly the color I want. I always get comliments after I get my hair done.

really listens!. I had been wanting to be a little bit of a darker blonde for awhile, and when I visited Shawna at Spruce she totally listened and talked to me about options to go darker. She had lots of pictures that we looked at together, so I was certain we were both on the same page before we started with color. I loved how my hair looked when we were done. The inside of spruce is so cute and everyone was very friendly. Don't miss the hot aveda tea and the hand massage!
