Tips for Quality Brothers Automotive

We have been using this place for a while now, and they deserve to be commended for their fairness and honesty. On several occassions they have been willing to work with us on various options for vehicle repairs and add-ons like tinting windows. They are always courteous, well-priced, and HONEST! Not many mechanics who can get that type of review from their customers. Keep up the good work!

My brakes were grinding so I called them for an estimate. Their price was higher than a national chain nearby, but the owner told me that he had interviewed to work with them and asked them how they stayed in business by charging such a low price. The local chain told him that they normally end up charging about 3 to 4 times the advertised price by telling the customer that they need more than just brakes. I searched for reviews about this national chain and the reviews confirmed what he said.

I was at work. I told them my wife was at home with 4 children. Since we live in the neighborhood next to their store, he was willing to come to our house to pick up the van, and then drop it off after the service.

Quality Brothers said they couldn't reproduce the grinding sound, said that I had 50% left on my brakes, and returned the van with no charges. I appreciate their honesty.

Warning, Don't go there!!!. I drove 28 miles each way for an oil change not knowing where these folks were. I called for an appointment and was told I didn't need one. I arrived about 5 PM and was then told, too bad, they got full in between and I could be taken care of in the morning. I needed my car so that didn't work.

The next time I called for an appointment and took off work and had one set up for 3 PM. When I arrived I was told that it would be several more hours as they had other customers who were not on a Living Social coupon that they were going to deal with first (ie, they had my money already so hurry up and wait!).

The arrogance of the guy managing the facility was appauling.

I drove down the block to Precision Tune at 2201 N. Bell, got great service from a warm and friendly group of people who actually wanted my business.

These guys are top men. Best experience I have ever had with a repair shop. They repaired my 2000 A4 (which I thought was a lost cause) for half of what the dealer would of charged me. Very friendly and honest mechanics at this shop.

BEST repair shop I've EVER WORKED WITH!!!. Nothing but good to say about Qulaity Brothers. Here's why:

I usually do all my own automotive work. I got some estimates for the timing belt/water pump replacement because it is a pain to perform and Quality Bros was the lowest estimate. Had them do the work, then drove down to Houston for the holidays. While in Houston, I was driving down the road when all of a sudden white smoke started pouring out of my hood and coolant leaked all over the ground. I immediately called Quality Bros and they worked with me for a couple hours over the phone to help me diagnose what was wrong (even after hours)! They assured me that if it was their fault, they would cover any additional repair costs I would incur.

Come to find out, there was a puncture in my radiator from a metal plug that was left loose in the engine bay. They even asked me to text them a picture of the plug so they could try to figure out where it came from. I replaced the radiator and Quality Bros told me to come by their shop so they could evaluate if it was their fault. I brought the old radiator and plug to them and they racked their brains trying to figure out where the plug came from. They assured me that the plug was not from their shop (they were not missing any big metal plugs).

But even though they were confident it was not their fault, they still credited me $100 in free work to the shop to make sure I was happy with their work. Excellent customer service! I don't know how many shops would even entertain the idea of having a customer come back to try to get them to pay for a mistake...

It doesn't stop there. The radiator I placed in the van continued to leak after I installed it for a few weeks and I couldn't figure out why. I called Quality Bros and asked their advice and they told me to bring it in and they would fix it for free - ON A SATURDAY (when they are not even open)! They let me be out in the shop and watch as they performed the work and they got it all fixed up for me.

They truly went the extra mile to ensure that I was pleased with their customer service and to make sure my car was running fine. They were very friendly, honest, down-to-earth, and cost effective.

GO TO QUALITY BROTHERS for a family-run, honest, local, hard-working mechanic shop. They will take care of you!

Very honest, generous, fast and efficient.. I was shopping around for a repair I needed and not only was the owner fast to respond, but also the lowest cost. He also made 2 other minor repairs cost free.

The quality of the work was excellent and I will call him first for any future repairs.

Thanks

Lourdes

HoRRible. The most unprofessional auto shop. I bring in my vehicle to them in the morning and did not hear back from them all day. Then a part was needed for the vehicle and we waited to hear back of how much and they say oh we were waiting for the go ahead from you...Well we cant give the go ahead if they do not call us. Also I brought my vehicle in for one specific thing and end up having to bring it back due to me not being able to drive the thing any more. Coincidence dont think so. We all know vehicles get old, but for me to never have a problem with that specific part and then it all of a sudden breaks....highly dont think it was due to age. Especially since it was very close to the part they were working on in the first place.

And say it was due to age and happen to break an hour after I left the shop, for them to tell me I will do labor for free and decided not too when we pick up our vehicle is extremley unprofesstional. I do appreciate them taking the time on a Saturday to finish up the problem that was broken but I will never go back.

Were very sorry that you are unhappy with your experience. Unfortunately, coincidences do occur and that is exactly what happened to your truck. We replaced a catalytic converter under your vehicle(exhaust), and your gear selector cable which was rusted through inside the cab under the carpet, (far from where we were working) finally gave out. After inspecting what happened, and it was very obvious it wasnt damage by us but rather friction & rust after 150,000 miles. We showed your husband what happened and he gladly offered to pay the labor charges and even offered his apologies. We are sorry that you had to repair two different items on your truck in such a short time frame, and that is why we offered to come in on Saturday when we are normally closed to take care of you. We honestly tried our best to take care of you, and I'm really sorry that you had a bad experience.

HONEST family-owned business that'll beat anyone's prices. I bought a coupon deal from their sales team and recently took my Expedition in for a checkup and oil change before a long road trip. I couldn't be more pleased or thrilled with the great service, friendly staff, kid-friendly waiting room and amazing pricing.

While they completed the work I needed in quite the timely manner, I also had them work on a quote on replacing a fan belt at a later date. The low price blew me away. They were completely up front on the time it would take and labor prices as well as parts. That kind of honesty and absolutely no up-charge is hard to come by.

I had two little ones with me and they gladly switched the TV over to a kid-friendly show, had toys and books available and were just awesome and not bothered by my kiddos at all.

I have never been able to find a mechanic company that is this honest and fair. Quality Brothers is definitely a diamond in the rough and I am so glad to have them in our area! I would recommend them to everyone again and again.

Great Service, fair price, tough to beat! Worth every cent!. I recently purchased a 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette Minivan with just over 100,000 miles and was interested in finding a good repair shop that would do work on it, providing just the repairs I need, not a lot of extra things that weren't necessary. As a test, I had them check the brakes, which on my own visual inspection seemed ok. To my satisfaction, when they did the brake inspection they said the brakes were fine and that I probably had a good year left on them. No charge and a great experience, fast, friendly, no appointment needed, very clean and considerate guys at the shop.

Well, after a 500 mile drive the next day, the front suspension started making a heck of a thumping noise, and so I inspected the wheels - the front right shook when I pushed/pulled on it... Uh oh. Either a wheel hub or control arm issue. Not having the time to deal with it, I brought it up to Quality Brothers around 4:30pm to have them take another look. Sure enough, they pulled everything apart, showed me exactly what the problem was, the wheel hub assembly was dry and starting to lock up. I then even asked about the control arm and was given a no bs description of it's condition and a recommendation to wait on that until we hit a much worse condition.

I had researched wheel hub pricing before heading there and also standard labor rates, time for repair. These guys were right in line and better yet, they have service so good it's worth even paying a little more, because they won't recommend unnecessary repairs.

Best of all, they repaired it by 6pm, in time for late daycare pickup and dinner. Awesome experience, would highly recommend. That is the place my new minivan will head when it's next part wears out!

Great Mechanics. I have had multiple cars worked on by Quality Brothers even prior to them officially opening their new location. They have fair prices and guarantee their work. They take a personal interest in getting your car repaired right the first time. I did have one issue that I had to take back in. They got right on it and fixed at no charge. Everyone is looking for a shop they can TRUST. This is one.
