Really great food, not typical Tex-Mex.. We eat here all the time - good service and GREAT food. More interior Mexican style, not the typical grease-and-cheese style Tex-Mex.

Word to the wise -- get some corn tortillas. They make them fresh. They are worth the trip alone.

Santa Catarina by far the best Mexican food in Lakeway. Santa Catarina is amazing. My boyfriend and I happened to stop by here one night during their unofficial opening and fell in love with the place. The entire menu is great. I haven't found anything that I don't like. Our favorites include the agave nectar margaritas (which are great because they don't have high fructose corn syrup in them so you don't feel bad or hot after you drink them). The flan is amazing with an almond crust and a hint of coffee.

Not only is the food superb, but the staff is excellent too. Jesus and Francisco are so nice.

Very Authentic!. Food as delicious and authentic as Fonda San Miguel, but at half the price! I recommend the Cochinita Pibil and the agave margaritas!

Oh! And the strawberry tres leches cake is to die for. :)

Fabulous food and service. I absolutely love eating at Santa Catarina. They have Fabulous food!! Great service and friendly staff. I try to eat there at least once a week!! Thanks Guys for a great place to eat!!

Fine Interior Mexican Food. My wife and I enjoy dining at the Santa Catarina Mexican restaurant for a very nice menu, good service and friendly conversations with chef Jes'us Hernandez and server Trace.

Amazing Interior Mexican Food. In the old Flore's location on 620, this restaurant is one of the best interior mexican food places in the Austin area. The inside is totally redone, very tasteful, great bar and happy hour as well. All of the lunch specials are excellent and a bargain, try any of the dishes with the signature cochinita pibil and any of the sauces. Mole, adobo, verde, they are all exceptional. Even though it is relatively new, reservations are recommended for weekend nights. They just started a Sunday brunch menu, the huevos poblano are to die for and the full menu is served as well. If you like interior mexican food, you will love Santa Caterina.
