Almost everyone will argue that Franklin has the best brisket in town. If you want to try it, be willing to wait up to 3 hours. Starting at 9 am because they usually sell out by 11! This is no joke. But it will be worth it.

There's a reason folks stand in line for hours to get a sliver of this stuff. Line up early at this east side BBQ shack, and see what all the fuss is about. In a nutshell: BBQ that's been prepared in a smoker with special, magical wood, with BBQ sauce that's almost OCD in its extremely delicate, highly delicious ingredient combination.

The 2 hour line speaks for itself. Franklin BBQ probably has the best brisket in Austin & the sausage is great too. You can skip the line if you call in a 5lb order or more.

Voted Bon Appetit's best BBQ in the US, this hot spot is truly worth the two hour wait! You've never tasted brisket more delicious.
