Yes, this downtown eatery might be hard to get to (it's located next to the Convention Center) and yes, it may not look like much from the outside with its generic-sounding Thai restaurant name and all, BUT if you find yourself in the d-town area, it's worth a visit. They offer tasty, yet typical Thai fare in pleasant ambiance and presentation. Though nothing jumps out as SPECTACULAR!, it's apparent that ingredients and preparation are fresh. This scout always grades Asian cuisine on how many quality veggies are featured in vegetarian dishes, and Mai Thai passes the test.

I love the yellow curry with tofu! I have an extremely low tolerance for spicy foods and it is right at my threshold. The red curry is too spicy for me.
