What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
Old is new on the east side, and nobody got that memo better than The Grackle. Behind the bar, old black-and-white movies play overhead, soul tunes fill the jukebox, and a cigarette machine (cigarette machine!) helps you party like it's 1989. In all seriousness though, this is a comfy, kind bar, with bartenders who truly seem bent on making you feel at home. When we last stopped by, they tuned into Jeopardy outside on The Grackle's big screen, with patrons gamely calling out answers to Trebek and Co. in between beer swigs. Cheap drinks AND factoid education? That's my kinda place.

The Grackle's Bloody Mary's are made with a nod to the Michelada, with a touch of big, bold Guinness (and generous spice) in each glass.

Cheap Drinks & Great People Watching. No kids allowed here-- just a great crowd of friendly hipsters and downtowners enjoying cheap drinks together. Easy access to East Side Kings is also a plus.
