Vietnamese food is having a moment in
Austin right now. It's always pretty good (in my book), but Elizabeth Street Cafe pushes the French end of things a bit more, resulting in their sparkling punch list. Play it safe with a Mandarin Mimosa, or get my favorite, the Shady Blonde: It's made with sparkling wine, Lillet, grapefruit and thyme.
Elizabeth Street Cafe is a
French-Vietnamese Fusion restaurant. They have everything from pho, bahn mi, and bun to crepes, macaroons, and tartlets. The food was fresh, tasty, and very well made. I had the Keffir Fried Chicken vermicelli bowl which was delicious. If you like spicy drinks, try the Saigon Morning punch. It's made with fresh jalapenos and definitely has a kick when you drink it (Definitely use the straw or your lips will be burning).
