When Ivo Gruner craved a good Croque Monsieur, he realized he couldn't find one in Austin. So he decided to take matters into his own hands, et voila! Boxcar Bistro, serving casual and elegant French food, was born. Using natural and organic ingredients, Ivo honors his French heritage through a variety of other tasty plates: I like the chicken salad, made with apples, tarragon and walnuts, and the indulgent Croque Madame -- just like the Monsieur, but with a friend egg on top. Oui oui.
