Just off S. First and right next door to the Soup Peddler, this shop is a tiny explosion of creative goodness: Owners Jennifer and Joseph Worth are photographers and artists, peddling beautiful prints from their travels around the world and around the city, which then become coasters, cutting boards, or framed pieces of art. On top of that, some of the best-fitting vintage dresses I have ever bought have come from South Austin Gallery. That's because this is one of the only places in town that sells vintage clothing that's already been reconstructed. Grandma's nightgown becomes a cute sundress, an 80s pantsuit becomes an adorable romper ... and what appears to be one of the Jackson 5's show costumes became a cocktail dress, which now hangs in my closet.
