This is my second time visiting T&J Salon, the atmosphere is great. I’ve been thinking about going natural for some time now but I prefer to wear my hair straight, Lecretia suggested I try the keratin glazing and I love it my hair feels great, it’s silky and full of body. I’ve gotten so many compliments this past week.

Lecretia did a great job styling my hair and I think I found my 2013 look. I’ve already booked my next appointment!

Hands down this is the best black hair care salon in Austin. Long gone are the days of spending hours in the salon waiting for your turn in the chair. Say goodbye to the boudin man, the dude hustling cds and the lady selling fake Gucci purses. T&J is a great salon offering a professional, relaxing experience to their patrons. Rachel runs her business like a well oiled machine, offers her clients online bookings, credit card payments and timely appointments. I'm always in/out (even for relaxers) and its usually just she and I since she doesn't stack her appointments. My hair is healthy, happy and I always receive compliments on Rachel's work. If you are chemical free, they also do natural hair care as well. I highly recommend Rachel and the team of T&J. They are extremely professional and do some unbelievable hair.

My first time going to a salon and I had a wonderful experience. Everyone was nice and welcoming. I got a Relaxer treatment done and it was very well done. I felt safe and relaxed at the hands of Lecretia. My hair came out amazing. I definitely recommend this salon and I will be going back.

Rachel J does an excellent job with extensions. She installs Sew In's and Malaysian Extensions which I absolutely love. Not to mention she is only charging 150.00 right now up until December 31. I highly recommend Rachel J for extensions.

Transitioning from relaxed hair to natural hair was hard the first year because I didn't have a stylist that took the time to tell how to take care of my natural hair. Ms. Rita was very patient, she didn't rush in doing my hair, and she gave me great advice on how to take care of my hair and what products to use. I totally recommend T&J hair salon if you are natural because they actually know what they are doing.

Ms. Rita has been my hair stylist for 3 years now and I highly recommend her and T&J Hair Designs! She has helped get my hair back to healthy so much! She is very talented and versatile. I have gone to her for trims, highlights, straightening, and now locks. The atmosphere is very welcoming and she always works with her clients to make sure they are getting the best! :D

Last year I came to Rita for a sisterlocks consultation. It was a great visit. Six weeks later I came and had my installation. Now 16 months later i am still here and love what Rita has done. I get compliments almost daily on Rita work. Come and try you will leave happy and will be a repeat customer.

Rita is awesome!!!! I have been natural for almost 3 years and have been going to Rita for the last 2. I had a traumatic experience with another stylist ( I will not mention name) and Rita was such a blessing. I absolutely love her!!! She was honest, realistic with her approach and asked me questions about what products I was using and how was I managing my curls. I have trusted her with my hair every since. Recently (9/15/12) I went to Rita to do my first thermal style with treatment. I immediately loved the results. My parents, sister (was actually jealous, she told me :)), friends and fellow classmates told me they loved it. I got so many compliments at work as well. I can't wait until my next session. Thank God for Rita

I have been visiting Rachel now located at T&J Hair Designs for a while now and my hair has honestly never looked or felt better. She truly cares about health of your hair and makes sure to do everything she can to get it there. T&J Hair Designs is a brand new salon (I have visited a few times) and it's beautiful. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new experience and refreshing atmosphere. I had recently got Malaysian Hair Extensions put in which is the attachment of hair by links providing flexible styling and comfort; it has lasted for quite a while now. Rachel offers them as a carefree hair styling option. I recommend you see her about this service. It's awesome. Thank you Rachel for all your help! :)
