Do not use these people. After our home was gutted by fire, we decided to do the General Contracting ourselves. Of all of the contractors I used to rebuild our home, we had a few disagreements, but nothing that couldn't be worked out.

However, our dealings with J.W. Tile and Floors was not good at all. I will concede that most of the work their subs do is pretty good and at a reasonable price, however, their professionalism leaves a lot to be desired.

We did almost $20,000 worth of business with them and every step along the way, there were little problems here and there. That in of itself is not damning or the end of the world, however, their response was abysmal. Anything that came up, they would immediately try to shift the blame to someone else, even before they had a chance to come see what the problem was.

As an example, they screwed up our Travertine shower surround. Within 2 weeks of using our new shower, the curb where you step into the shower was coming apart. We had to pay to have the frameless glass shower door removed and put back on, as well as paying for the materials (travertine) they ruined with the workmanship.

Through everything we did with them and each step of the process they treat you like you are lucky they are doing the work for you. Neither my wife nor myself ever heard so much as a "thank you" for the business or anything.

I am not blasting some of the people they have do the actual work, most of them were fine, but if you want to be treated with a professional attitude and have someone stand by their work, look elsewhere.

Buyer Beware. JW flooring was hired to top of the line BR111 Amendoim in my home. During the process of floating the floor I notices several places that were not floated correctly and would have voids. I was assured by JW that his installers would make sure to take care of it. Unfortunatly this was not the case. In fact there are voids in several places scuff marks from the "special" mallets they used and the trim doesn't sit flush on the floor so there are visible voids there as well. He after receving complete payment did not provide me with an invoice or warranty his work although he bosted a 2 year warranty. Save your self the trouble and look for someone who takes pride in the work he provides.
