Yum!. Reminds me of home . . .: Not necesssarily the decor . . . but I grew up off the food as a born and raised Austinite. My absolute favorite dish is the Mahi Mahi plate with the seafood sauce. I could put that sauce on everything. I also love the fajitas! As far as drinks, my favorite is a top shelf mexican martini. I don't like anything that comes out of the bucket or machine. This location is usually good for lunch or weekday nights, but the crowd does change during weekend nights. Some people like it, but it's not necessarily my crowd. For those that prefer gringo style or authentic "Mexican" - Baby A's is authentic "Tex-Mex"
Extremely friendly.. Awesome interior and exterior decor. Even a wishing well! The food is pretty good. I love the tostada's and quesidia. The wait staff is extremely friendly. This place can really accomodate a party of 10+.
Best margaritas!. SERVICE WAS GREAT!! MARGARITA'S WERE THE BEST I EVER HAD.
The best Margaritas. The best Margaritas I have ever had. The chips are crispy and great. I will be going back with Debbie (my new girlfriend) SOON. I can't wait to eat there again. I love Baby A's and their Margaritas are to die for. The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. They have nice staff and the atmosphere is great too. Good mexican food. I would recommend this to anyone.
Great for dates!. Excellent choice of margaritas very strong. . Chips and salsa was great. I really recommend this place, especially for dates.
Great food, decent prices, and good service. I have been going here for since I was about 8 years old. They have great food, decent prices, and good service. The prices may seem about average at first, until you take a bite. I really love their nacho's. I wish I lived in Austin again, because I would eat here at least once a week. They have a shuttle bus, or used to. I am not sure where it picks up or drops off, but have seen that they have one. They have some expensive items on the menu, but there are a lot for under $9. You can see the menu on their website.
The vibe was happy, lubricate, and festive.. as staying with a few buddies at the horrible Super 8 next door (trying to do a pseudo-bachelor party night of drinking on the cheap). We had an hour and a half to kill before our taxi arrived, so we went to this place for some enchiladas and margaritas. Let me tell you, this place was packed. We snuck in to the back room, and took seats at the bar. It had the feel of a large family reunion or wedding reception, with people mingling between tables and handshakes all around. The vibe was happy, lubricated, and festive. In the background this hilarious Latino house band was playing, a cross between La Bamba and the Wedding Singer. The margaritas, however, were no laughing matter, especially the famed purple one.
Im a regular. I like the salsa and love the baby a's soup! Margs are stout! Everyone from my office is a regular!!
Best mexican food!. I absolutely LOVE this place, the chips and salsa are AMAZING! It's really crowded on the weekends so sometimes there's a wait, but that just means the food is SO good that everyone wants some :) yum!
