RIBS. I love the ribs.

ok i will admit I ate too many and got kind of sick...which is a danger with the family all you can eat platter.. not a good place for the meat hater sister.. but she loves their pecan pie.. here is a secret...most people don't think of Salt LIck and chicken...but they make the juiciest most yummy chicken!!

Overrated. Moved to Austin from NC and heard this place had great bbq. We were deeply dissapointed. Meat was way too salty, service was slow, and the benches are back breaking. Not worth it. Go to Rudy's in Round Rock instead, if you want great BBQ.

A Lot of Hype, Not much Substance. Took my family who live in Dallas to Salt Lick. Told them this was supposed to be one of the best bbq places in the area. What a letdown. After a 25-30 minute wait we finally got our food. The portions were small for a bbq place and while the quality of the meat was good; it wasnt any better than other local bbq restaurants that are cheaper. I guess they were going for the rustic look instead of comfort as the picnic table seating makes for easy cleanup, but hard on my back. I guess you pay for the name. Perhaps the Driftwood location is better.
