If you aren't already on a physician-approved exercise plan, then I urge you to start one – you'll need it for Taste of Ethiopia. Seriously, this stuff requires a worked up appetite: Huge plates of injera bread (soft, sour, pancake-like discs) covered with simmered chicken, butter-tenderized lamb, and rosemary-marinated beef. Also, because there's literally nothing standing between you and your food (Ethiopians don't do flatware), it's pretty easy to dine here by the handful.

If you've never eaten a handful of injera bread wrapped around gobs of stewed meat with lentils dripping out your first, you just haven't lived. There are several Ethiopian joints in Austin now but Taste of Ethiopia is one of the best, partly due to its insanely fresh injera, fermented daily.

Absolutely Delicious!!!. Went here to grab a bite with my husband and was blown away by the delicious flavors! We went during lunch and were greeted by a lovely, cheerful lady - I think she is the owner. Before us was an appetizing array of dishes at the buffet. I am a vegetarian and was so pleased to see so many veggie options! Cabbage, lentils, eggplants, peas, collard greens - all so tasty! I had 2 plates which is more than I usually eat because 1 plate of this amazing food was simply not enough! This place is a gem and Pflugerville is is lucky to have such authentic ethnic food! I'll be asking my hubbie to meet me there for lunch again soon!

Open your mind and mouth to something new. I am interested in trying new foods and I suggested to my friends and brother that we go to this place and it took a little convincing my brother, but I got to go. It was so good. All the food was delicious. They bring out a big plate that everyone shares and we decided to share our food with each other and I couldn't be more happy with the result of our food. The service was great too. Such a nice owner. I will be coming back here many times.

You must try this place!. Tonight I took the family to try Ethiopian cuisine. I'm trying to expand our horizons and expose our daughter to something beyond the standard Austin area Tex-Mex. this place astounded me. the way they use spices, heat, vegetables, and meat was amazing. The after dinner coffee was the best cup I have had in Austin. They also offer the quickest, friendliest service I have had in Austin. this is an absolute must try... you too will be hooked!
