Warm chocolate chip cookies greet every guest at this Hilton-owned hotel, a friendly touch that fits in with the hotel's business-casual attitude. Another way Doubletree helps its guests relax is the Sweet Dreams bed, which features a pillow-top mattress, high thread-count linens, down comforters and lots of jumbo pillows. Amenities also include high-speed Internet access, in-room coffeemaker and complimentary newspaper; properties also typically feature a swimming pool, a fitness center and a range of meeting facilities.

Perfect. Good location - about a 15 minute walk from sixth street. The room was in good DoubleTree suite standard. We were there for memorial day, so there were a lot of young college age peole at the hotel ... which worked well for us, but just FYI. A great value in downtown Austin. Service was very good, but the concierge was completely clueless.

just right. My wife and I were visiting Austin and tried the Doubletree Suites for the first time. We found the hotel and staff to be excellent. The rooms have been recently redecorated and we found the to be spacious and tasteful. The hotel is located near the capital so it is close to music, restaurants and the university. The parking lot is very tight and the turns are sometimes difficult to make.

We highly recommend this hotel and found it to be a great value.

Perfect location.... not in the middle of the bars, and great access to the rest of downtown and the University of Texas. I've stayed here twice before and enjoyed not only the ammenities, but the service. I'll definitely be back.
