Steer clear.
Wish I could put 0 stars. We had K&M Steam Cleaners come to clean our carpet and recliners. I really wish we'd gone with someone else.
If you have bur bur do not call these guys. They do not know how to take the extra time needed to properly remove dirt and stains from bur bur carpet.
I also wasn't happy that they treated the entire carpet with chemicals first. I can see using chemicals in small areas for tough stains, but I have kids and I'd rather not have chemicals all over my carpet. That's not the type of cleaning that I would expect from a steam cleaning carpet company.
One of the reps mentioned that some of their trucks only have a 10 gallon water heater in them. This is much less than other companies and doesn't provide the steam needed for proper cleaning. As soon as the steam's gone, your just getting room or ground temperature tap water.
The carpet looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived. However, within an hour, without any walking on the carpet, the stains and darker areas in the high traffic areas came back. We called them back and they cleaned it again. The second time it was the same thing, although this time I noticed the stains before they even left. They didn't do any extra cleaning in the high traffic areas.
They came back a third time and did what they could, but our high traffic areas still looked bad. We finally saw a noticeable difference and real cleaning on our carpet when we had another company come. There was a huge difference between the cleaning from K&M and the other company.
I'll never deal with these guys again.

As the owner and operator of K&M Steam Cleaning, customer satisfaction is a chief concern and I value any and all feedback from those who have used our services. In reading this review, I am puzzled. The review refers to use of a 10 gallon water heater. We do not have water heaters on our trucks. We generate our steam thru a heat exchanger which will generate up to 245 degrees steam. Anything more would melt the carpet. The review also describes the use of chemicals. All of our advertisements promote that pre treatment is included. If we were to clean the carpet without it, it would be like washing your clothes or hair with no detergent or shampoo. All of our products are environmentally safe and are safe for the kiddos and the pets. Unfortunatly our success has some of our competitors giving us bad reviews. We know who you are. Shame on you. Please read our other recent reviews when making your decision and give K&M a try, you won't be sorry!

Excellent service. On 12/3/2010, Michael Wright and his assistant provided excellent insight into a carpet problem I had been struggling with for months. I can't say enough about how efficiently they did their job and how knowledgeable and thorough they were. Their attitude and workmanship will make me come back to K & M, time and again!

Fantastic!. Rey & Manny were fantastic! Both were extremely nice & professional. My carpets were in horrible shape & I told them that I didn't expect too much. However, they were able to get out almost every stain and make my 10 year old carpets look like new...I couldn't be happier. Thank you!

VERY unhappy with company!.
K&M advertised that they have “No hidden charges”. I called and received a quote for steam cleaning and pet deodorizing and was quoted $90. When the cleaners arrived they told me that it was an extra $70 to pet deodorize! I immediately called and asked for the individual who quoted me something different. Unfortunately she was not available. I complained about the “No hidden charges” and the upcharge for the pet deodorizer. I ended up speaking to the owner, Ken Moncebiaz, who told me that they do not make mistakes. I explained that I would pay them for the work (as they were already working) but I would never use them again and that I will report it to the BBB. K&M called their carpet cleaners out in the middle of the work! I called K&M back and told him that I will pay for the work-Ken told me that “My dollar’s not that important to him!”
I will never use this business again! K&M is unprofessional and falsely advertising and not honoring their quotes. “No hidden charges” my $%#$#!

Thank you for your comments. You're correct regarding our commitment to no hidden charges. Our prices haven't changed in 10 years and all of our repeat clients love this. We do our best to uncover exactly what our clients' need so we can disclose all details and pricing upfront, and just as important, bring the necesssary materials. After looking at what was discussed on the initial phone call, our notes indicate that the client asked for a living room and hallway to be cleaned as well as a set of stairs. Therefore, the total was $90.00 pre tax to have the carpets cleaned, deodorized, and pre treated. There was no mention of pets or pet odor removal on the initial call. The customer then contacted us to say that the ad said the PET treatment is included. The ad says PRE treatment is included. As you can see this was a simple misunderstanding, and we worked to address the client's concerns within reason.

Very Professional Carpet Cleaning Service. Mario and Victor were very professional. They moved more furniture than I expected, and they worked hard to get the carpet as dry as possible. After I checked the carpet, Mario raked it again, so it looked beautiful. It dried nicely! Thanks K&M Steam Cleaning!

Request Crew Cheif Johnny and his Crew!. K&M has always come through for me and done a fabulous job! Johnny and Victor did the carpets at my last rental place and the carpets looked like new. They were very informative and knowledgable about what they do. I will only use Johnny as the the Crew chief to do my carpets in the future. K&M goes out of their way to accommodate your schedule. I won't use anyone else. Great job Johnny!

They are courteous and professional. I'm glad to have recently learned that you also provide duct cleaning service and dryer venting. It's nice to get multiple tasks accomplished with one service call. Thank you for all you do!

Stellar!! K&M makes it happen!. My wife and I were moving out of our apartment into our first home and really needed a hail mary to walk away with our deposit as far as carpet was concerned. We had lots of wear and tear, and some pretty fierce pet stains that seemed impossible. Rey and Manny to the Rescue! They were not only Steam Ninjas with passion and great energy, but were very concerned for us, the customer, and the results we were going to get by using K&M. Those vicious pet stains........ absolutely gone without a trace. Our 3 floor apartment looked like the day we moved into it 2 years prior and we got our deposit back! The genuine concern for the customer and positive vibe these guys had was amazing. Now they are cleaning our new home and we're pumped to get the same results. THANKS K&M

Austins BEST locally owned Carper Cleaning. We have used K&M Steam cleaners to clean our carpets and furniture, repair carpet and clean out dryer vents since we moved to Austin 8 years ago. They always offer us the best prices, take notes to give us detailed service and follow-up to make sure everything is done correctly. They want our business and work by the old rules of Top notch customer service. We couldn't recommend them more highly.
