Disaster – I have had my very valuable piano stored with them since August 2008. In November of 2009 the owner, Todd McDermott, called and told me one of his employees was embezzling. Todd asked me to make the storage checks out to him personally. That should have caused me to get my piano out of there. Shame on me. In February 2010, I noticed my storage check hadn't cleared the bank, so I called the company to see if my check had been lost in the mail. My call was answered by another company (Texas Ranger calls are being forwarded). The person that answered told me Todd was having some personal problems. I asked him to have Todd call me. Todd never did. About a month later I called Texas Ranger Moving again. The people at the place where the calls are being forwarded to are getting tired of dealing with Texas Ranger moving and were not very helpful. It occured to me that Todd had talked to me using his cell phone so I went through my phone bills and figured out his cell phone number. I called Todd's cell phone and left him a message to call me, which he did. Todd explained that he was having problems with the owner of their storage space. There are several pianos stored there, "but they are safe." He promised to call me with a plan for getting my piano. He never did. I have left him a message to call me.
If anyone knows anything about how to recover pianos stored there, please post information here.
Todd McDermott is no longer associated with Texas Ranger Moving. His company went out of business in 2009.
The name was abandoned and picked up by new owners. We were unaware of prior problems with Texas Ranger customers and will assist former customers, if possible.
Terrible Business Ethics – I hired these guys to move one room worth of stuff and a couch. It took them over 2 hours even though everything was boxed and ready. The guys were nice enough but they damaged my couch.
My main complaint is the owner. I left him several messages to address the issue, which he never returned. I finally had a friend call to request service. He called her back within 20 minutes. When I took the phone and told him who I was, he called me cunning and hung up. I filed a BBB complaint and he hasn't returned their calls either.
I would never do business with these guys again. I could have had friends with no insurance move me if I wasn't concerned about my belongings being damaged.
Disastrous – I have never had such a bad experience with movers my whole life. And I've moved many times. If you value your money and your possessions don't use these guys. Bad news.
Highly Recommended!! – I hired Texas Ranger Moving for my move into my new home and they were Top Notch! Not only were they very careful as they moved my things but they were so friendly and reassuring throughout the move. I highly recommend their services!!!!
amazing moving experience! – I hate moving, but these guys made it so easy for me. I will use them for every move in the future and tell everyone how great they are! I don't know what I would have done without them.
It was so relieving to see my piano handled so well! – This is a great company. I was a little bit nervous about finding them from the internet, but after calling several times and asking all my different questions, I decided to have Tx Ranger Moving Co. move a baby grand that had been in my family for generations. [not to mention they were the best price I could find in Houston!]. They were on time, friendly, and polite - and they especially knew what they were doing. The move was perfomed with my grandparents for an audience - and they were even pleased. The crew paid great attention to detail, making sure it was very carefully wrapped and padded, and handled it very safely. I'm so glad that I choose this company. I've been using citysearch for over a year - and this is the first time I've felt inspired enough to write a review. Highly, highly recommended and a very literal 5/5 stars.
Worst piano mover in Texas – Want to get your piano picked up - and then never hear from the movers for days and days on end? Want to call every number you can find, only to have all voice mail boxes always full, and call never returned? Want to lose your piano? Call these guys...they'll be happy to obilge, I'm sure.
Best movers!! – I had never used professional movers before, but now that I have I will never do it myself again!! I've used Texas Rangers Moving twice now and both times have been great. The crew is very professional and polite. Very affordable! I highly recommend them.
Excellent service and price! – I had Texas Ranger move some really expensive furniture moved from San Antonio to our house in Austin. They did a great job dismantling the furniture and took great care to wrap every piece of furniture with blankets. The movers were very professional and did not damage any of the furniture or walls in the house. I highly recommend Texas Ranger Moving to anyone that needs to move anything, whether it is antique or expensive, these guys won't let you down!
Excellent Service – Working with Texas Ranger Moving was wonderful. They moved my piano quickly and very professionally. At the end of moving my piano, they even thanked me for the work!!
I, without a doubt, will be using them to move all of my furniture to my new house in the near future. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.
