After shopping at trendy-but-cheap chain shops (don't lie, you know you go too), do you ever wish you could find stuff just as cute, but with better quality? That's how I think of Maya Star. Well-organized with an extremely helpful staff, the frocks, tops, and bottoms here are colorful and girly, but won't fall apart on you. Over the years, Maya Star has stocked its walls with the kinds of labels you'd find at a Macy's or a Nordstrom's, but at slightly more reasonable prices -- making their sale rack truly a thing to behold.

A reliable spot for special occasion dresses, ranging from date night to cocktail party. Brands here are mid-line designers, and prices reflect that, too: It's not By George levels of wallet emptying, but the overall clothing quality and cost is above, say, Strut -- another boutique I love, but alas, purchases from there just have an expiration date.
