Bad Food Indeed!.
I had a delivery made of wonton soup, vietnamese chicken w/lemongrass, a shrimp dish, and spring rolls. The delivery was prompt- but the food was horrible. Old tasting soup, I could not identify the broth, but it smelled weird, and all the wonton stirred into tiny pieces. Blechhh! Possibly used leftover, freezer-burnt pork bones in the stock.
The vietnamese dish was very very greasy, the spring rolls less than fair, and the fried rice was a dirty, pale brown with NOTHING in it except rice, salt and dirty grease.
I figured that no one can produce that dismal of food without being awareof it, so I didnt even call back .
I never will. I would give a 1/4 star if possible.
Love it for what it is!!.
It is super cheap, and they deliver late-night! Such a friendly staff from ordering to delivery. Veggie lo-mein is like badass ramen to the tenth power. Love it! (no it isn't healthy or gourmet)
A mostly student crowd devours tasty, cheap Chinese fare in this quaint Drag eatery.. In Short Since it's located on the Drag, Magic Wok is primarily populated by hungry students looking for a break from greasy burgers and cheese-dripping nachos. But the staff is friendly and the food is consistently good and more importantly, cheap. The menu covers it all from appetizers--egg rolls, spring rolls, steamed dumpling--to entrees. Just decide whether you want seafood, beef, chicken or all vegetables.
Great Food, bad building.
The food is very, very good and its all cheap. With nothing over 5.00, you can't beat it. It's great for ordering in, but if you're going to eat there, don't take your date there. Its a very small ugly building (Inside and out) and the service isn't so great when you work there. When ordering in, sure to speak clear because if you get the wrong order and try to tell them they are wrong, you won't like what you here.
