One of the best happy hours in town. Perfect martinis and love every single appetizer.
The BEST Sea Bass. If you haven't had the Sea Bass at Eddie V's....it is a MUST! So incredible. The service is top-notch!! One of my favorite downtown spots.
Amazing food!. Never had a bad meal at Eddie V's, and the service is usually fabulous too.
Steak was garbage. Not worth money.
The steak was dry and not well done like I ordered. I dont know why people come here, it sure as hell isnt for the food.
This was the first and last time I go to this place.
sub par happy hour. Two bartenders couldn't handle service to 5 groups of people that totaled 13 people? Water wasn't refilled. Was asked if I wanted another drink only to wait 15 minutes to get it. Was asked repeatedly what we ordered or if we had ordered. Crab cake tasted like a grocery store brand. Come one, 13 people in the entire bar and 2 bar tenders can't remember if they've asked a customer for an order? For the price you pay, you should get excellent service. We tipped 5% and ended up skipping our dinner reservation there and went to McCormick & Schmicks instead.
Disappointment. My wife and I went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. It was supposed to be a special night out. We arrived at 7:25 and got our food at 9:30. One hour's wait for a table and a second hour for our food. My lobster (which cost $60) and her Copper River king salmon ($40) were both waaaay overcooked and very dry. As soon as they set the lobster down in front of me, I could smell the metallic smell of iodine. It was so late, we'd waited so long, and we were so trying to have a good time, so we didn't confront them about the quality of the food, though we probably should have (but to what end?). They knew they had taken too long, so they comped us a dessert - but both of them were also almost inedible, and we left most of both on the table when we left. This restaurant was an expensive, big disappointment.
Great Service, Steaks/Seafood. My son who was recently transplanted from Manhattan, suggested Eddie V's on Sat. July 5th. He went on-line Saturday morning and made a 6:00 p.m. reservation for that evening. He had dined there previously and had been impressed. Upon arrival we were escorted to our table, and was told who our server would be . He appeared shortly after and inquired if we had dined there prior. He explained all the specials, and also indicated that certain desserts needed 20 minutes to prepare, and if we wished to order one, now was the time to tell him. He also indicated that the sides were large enough for sharing. We ordered 3 appetizers, all arrived timely, and all were gone within minutes. Shortly thereafter our entrees arrived (filets, rib eye steak, salmon), along with our 4 side dishes. The servers asked us to cut into our steaks for the doneness that we requested. The servers held a small flashlight while we 4 steak eaters inspected our meat. All of which was cooked to perfection. The salmon diner kept saying that it was the best salmon he had ever eaten. Which is a big compliment since he eats salmon 2 to 3 times a week. We had to pass on dessert since we could barely finish our entrees. We found the service and the food to be exceptional and will plan on returning on our next visit. As I had read some previous unfavorable reviews, I kept wondering if this was the same Eddie V's that we had just visited. This is the first time ever that I have left a review on dining, and suggest that you visit this establishment yourself. Also, the wine list was pages, hard to believe that people thought that it wasn't extensive enough. Also, while we were deciding what to order, one of the hostesses brought a bouquet of flowers (card attached) to a nearby booth that was vacant. Shortly thereafter, a couple arrived. Obviously, this was something planned ahead by the very thoughtful husband and carried out by the Eddie V's staff.
Great food, great ambience and impeccable service.. First of all thank you all for your input. Which actually prompted me to pick Eddie Vs. I made a reservation this Saturday for May 10th. There are perks for making reservations which i will tell you at the end. First advantage was it was fully packed but we ddn't wait much long until we were seated( reservation). Everybody was very polite and friendly. I can tell u before you leave, u will remember everybody's name from bartender to waiter. The ambience was the best, someone said it smelled like seafood inside forunately i couldn't smell that fragrance. My waiter was the best, he would explicitly explain what each item would taste like and look like, makes you very comfortable. The best part is when you are in such a place and indulged in conversation u totally forget about food. Needless to say mine arrived on time and with some great fine dining cuisine. I ordered swordfish steak, and my wife ordered red snapper. both tasted exquisite. Mine i felt need some sauce, cuz here was no sauce with the fish and thats why the penalty of 1 star. Other than that no complains. So finally my perk for online reservation, I metioned about our anniversary at the reservation notes and we were gifted with a free dessert for the night. It really ended on a sweet and a happy note. Thank you.
