My wife and I came here last night for
dinner and truly enjoyed our experience. We hadn't been here in a while and they are now under new ownership. Luckily, they are not changing the menu and it is the same awesome Gumbo's. They had a live jazz band on the patio and it was hoppin' last night. My wife ordered a martini and I had the Real Ale IPA they had on tap. Love that they have a good IPA and that they keep it local. I had the blackened shrimp served over crawfish étouffée, I chose the dirty rice. The shrimp were huge, cooked in a blackened spice which was the perfect level of spiciness. We split an order of their creamed spinach on the side. My wife ordered the salmon with the "Robert" style sauce, which is blackened salmon topped with sauteed shrimp in a herb beurre blanc sauce. She absolutely loved the salmon, I tried a bite and it was cooked perfectly. Again, love the spice level: not too spicy but the perfect amount. She had a generous side of broccoli with her dish. We were extremely impressed with the level of service we received. Our server Rachel was very on top of things, came by to check on us several times, asked us how everything was. The manager came by to check on us and ask how the food was, overall we were extremely impressed. My mother in law doesn't like seafood and she ordered their tenderloin and was blown away at the quality, said it was cooked perfectly. They do happy hour daily and I hear they also have lunch specials, but we haven't been yet for lunch. We will definitely be back. My wife loves seafood and it's awesome to have a great place to eat seafood out in Bee Cave/Lakeway.
