Excellent service!. Love the happy hour at the north location of Eddie V's. One of the best bar tender's I've ever had and I travel the world for my job. Recently, took my finance there after our engagement photos in Bull Creek and had a delightful time at bar. Bartender recommended drink to my girl. I had 2 very generous scotches. We will return Calamari is top notch. We will return.

THE best bone in ribeye in Austin. After reading Texas Monthlys list of top 10 steaks in Texas and seeing Eddie V's which is supposed to be seafood, toping the list at number 6 I had to see what they were talking about. I LOVE a good steak. I have since had the bone in ribeye 4 times and every time it has been spectacular... On a side note, I have learned to go their during happy hour and make a meal of the wonderful appetizers that are half price till 7 pm...

Great Food and Service. Its was my parents 35th anniversary and after getting bummed out by the service at another "steak house"

We set about looking for an alternate venue.

I had my hopes down since we were a a party of 10 + a toddler!

We made a couple of calls @6pm and lo and behold Eddie V accepted our impromptu reservations and even made a quick anniversary cake/dessert for my parents.

I will have to say being to the downtown venue Eddie V's has made a customer foe Life! Literally!

They went over and above the call of duty made us feel welcome (this from a restaurant i would not want to show up with a kid....luckily the Fries they make keep his wild side in check )

I want to let all the users know they Rock and are absolutely superb. Seeing as my own Wedding anniversry is coming up its a no brainer where we will go

Can't say enough about this place. Went here with another couple for a b-day celebration. Very nice place, our server was fun and attentive and knew all of the answers to our questions.

Halibut was by far our favorite, but the guys had stuffed filets and raved about them. On the pricey side, but worth it. Sides sold seperately so your bill will add up quickly. Sides feed at least 2 people though so keep that in mind.

It was so nice not to have to go downtown when a classy place like this is close to home!

Smells like fish Eddie V !!!. My friend and I went to Eddie V's last night, the food was wonderful, the service was great, and the view was very nice.

I DO HAVE ONE HUGE COMPLAINT.....................

Ok, so it's like this, Yes, I know that Eddie V's is a Steak and SEAFOOD restaurant.

BUT when I walk in the door of the place, "I DONT WANT TO SMELL FISH !! It was over powering, I almost changed my mind the minute I got the whiff.

But my friend had been wanting to try Eddie V's for quite sometime, so I didn't

mention it. I tell you, it was pretty gross. Like, everyone knows that if you go to

the seafood counter at the grocery store and you can smell the the seafood.....

DON"T BUY THE SEAFOOD !!! So for me, If I walk into a restaurant like Eddie

V's and smell seafood, I am not having seafood there.

Dear Roger Hernandez,

Please consider some heavy duty air fresheners, and those electric Ionic

air purifiers they work really, really well, if I wanted to smell fish like that, I

would take a walk through the Seattle Fish Market!!!!

Other than that one HUGE detail the food was great, nice place.

Credit Card Charged Twice. We have been to Eddie V's in the Arboretum twice in the past two months. We dined the first time on January 20, when our credit card was charged twice. On February 16 we received our credit card statement and discovered the double charge. My husband contacted the manager who stated it was their error and would credit us the amount in error. Believing this to be true, we returned on February 24 to celebrate my birthday. Since the credit to our account still had not been processed by Eddie V's, my husband again spoke to the manager, who assured us it would be done. To date, February 28, the amount charged in error on January 20th has still not been credited to our credit card, but the amount of the February 24th dinner sure was billed to our credit card account fast and already appears on our statement. In fact, it was posted that very same night. We are very disappointed and this is not acceptable. We will not return to Eddie V's, nor can we recommend them to our friends. Service goes beyond the day you dine with them. This should have been handled immediately.

Pros: None, when they double charge your credit card and do not reverse the charge.

Cons: Not careful with credit cards; charged twice.

Best Meal We've Had in Austin. We went to Eddie V's at the arboretum looking for a great meal and we got it! The menu has lot's of interesting choices and everything was great. Our waiter was super attentive even though he was extremely busy. Go to Eddie V's if you want a great steak or superb seafood, we will definitely be back!

Best Value in Town! 35 cents a piece, fresh oysters!. Wow, what a great find. At happy hour they have fresh oysters for 35 cents a piece! They were outstanding, we went there for dinner but ended up having a few dozen oysters instead for less than $15. The drinks are poured with a heavy hand and the bread is fresh from the oven. I highly recommend this place, to anyone that is looking for fresh seafood. (Although outside of the oysters, it is very pricy but you get what you pay for!)
