What Our Expert Scouts Are Saying
You can't miss Michelada's Futura signage nor their huge upstairs deck, stretching across downtown like an airport observation deck. The inside is just as decadent and striking – but let's talk about the important stuff, food. Despite appearances Michelada's is a young pup of a restaurant, having just opened a month and a half ago to a city full of proud Mexican food snobs. This particular snob is happy to report that she was pleased with her meal, and really, with a pork belly taco, how could I not be? Topped with grilled pineapple, it was a pitch-perfect fatty/acidic bite. Try the house-made, namesake Michelada too: It's saltier than a sailor's tongue, but with enough beer and lime juice to keep things balanced.

Bet you didn't expect Riptide oysters
available for brunch at a Tex-Mex joint! This place surprised and delighted me this morning with $2 mimosas and the freshest salsa around.
