There's an old Seinfeld episode where George tries to combine the two things he loves most – sex, and pastrami sandwiches – in bed. It doesn't end well, but thanks to Melvin's Deli Comfort, I can completely empathize. At first glance, the sandwiches are nothing special really – no sexy panini-press lines, no granola bread – but the secret is in the meat. Rather than ordering from a supplier, the couple behind Melvin's prepares their sandwich proteins themselves, so I tried their pork belly confit. It totally melted in my mouth, probably because they poach the pig fat for half a day -- causing me to reminisce about it for half a month.
