Hi Hat Public House is a brand new, eager-to-please gastropub on the far flung end of east 6th. How eager to please? How about a space heater inside the bathroom? (Thoughtful!) The pub "grub" served here isn't really grub at all, but fancy little things prepared by a real chef: duck confit nachos, roasted shallot butter on house made pretzels, brioche French toast. Hi Hat was founded by a musician -- one with an excellent palate -- and to make you feel nice and cozy while you eat all that delicious food, he brings in live musicians various nights of the week.
