Terrible Door Staff

Out of a group of twenty people that went into Logan's, the only one of y group that didn't go in was the only black person of the group. He was stopped by the doorman and not allowed to go in, even though my friend had his real ID with him (he is 22). I asked for the manager, who didn't really do anything, except allowing his doorman to talk to us in a derogatory way in front of him. He then proceeded to let us know that "they had plenty of customers" and that it wasn't a problem if we left because they didn't let our friend in. Without a doubt the most shameful display of poor manners by door staff I've experienced. I ADVISE YOU TO NOT GO, and I'll keep advising other people not to go, because what they did to my friend was not right.

Logans on 6th Rocks

We were in town for a week and tried most places and Logans was far and away the cleanest with the most normal people. It's a "nicer" crowd than all of the other tatooed ratholes on 6th street...TRUST ME. The service and staff was excellent and we were there when it was busy. The salads are awesome and the sourdough burger to die for. The liter beers are great with great selections. They play incredibly funny movie clips. If you want a specific game on just ask the bartender, he will oblige. Bottom line, when we come back to the ATX we are definitely going to Logans on 6th.

Wait until the service improves

Suggest you give it several months before you go, perhaps it will improve. This was our first time to 6th street. The place looked like fun so we went in for food and drinks. We had 6 people and ordered appetizers with our 1st round of drinks, then everyone ordered a sandwich. After our third round the wraps my husband and I ordered arrived. After asking twice and 13 minutes later we got ketchup, napkins, salt, pepper and flatware. By this time our fries were cooling off quickly. Ten more minutes the remaining burgers arrived. We were almost done eating. The 1st appetizer arrived several minutes after that and was mostly cold ? we told them to scratch the other appetizer. One burger had to go back because it was cold. We enjoyed the beer and shots, service was poor at best. We were fairly good natured about it and the manager was good ? wrote off the appetizers (good since we didn?t even get one of them and sent back the other) and brought us a round of drinks. We didn?t stay long and probably won?t be back. Pity because our bill was still $125.00 and we were not there very long, we also tipped well regardless.

Limited selections

I know it's a sports bar, but please have a small selection of wine for those who don't like beer. Come on, how expensive is it to carry a few labels??? Secondly, the food selection needs lots of help. Nothing of interest, small portions. HELP.

Never a wait for a drink, Friendly peeps, Austin Staple!

$3.50 for a Liter of Beer??? WOW! They have $3.50 Domestic Liters till 11 pm on Thursdays and $5 from 11pm till close. Logan's is an Austin icon in my view. Been there for over 10 years(since I was in school). I still go there on weekends. People are great...its trendy and always beautiful women to look at. Never a problem with this place...Best sports bar in Downtown! Great late night spot.

Physical Assault at Logan's

Last night my husband was attacked at Logan's by a patron- who then was merely escorted out of the bar, where he was able to flee into the crowd of 6th street. My husband was shipped off into a cab to the hospital. He has a broken nose. Unfortunately because the police were not contacted we cannot press charges against the "unknown" attacker. While the bouncers were quick to get the attacker away from my husband, I feel that they should have brought the police to the scene so that this man, who claimed to know the staff, could be punished accordingly. I will never go to Logan's again - it's just not a safe place anymore. Too bad, it used to be my college hangout.

This is why we need your ID #

Do you wanna know what we do with your drivers license number? Nothing. But we are required to put it on there in case you come in and spend more than you should have and then call us saying someone else used your card. Well, if your license number is on there that's our way of proving that someone who looks just like you was in here with your ID and your card that night. Hmmmm..... It is for your protection too. No customer is allowed to use a card that does not match the first and last name on their ID. If you drop your card in another bar or on the street and someone picks it up and tries to use it at Logan's they won't be able to. Lastly, it is a second line of defense against minors. If for some reason a minor made it past the door with someone else's ID and then try to use their own credit card they're busted!! Really, bartenders there put up with enough, and we love our jobs, but don't give us a hard time about the ID thing. If it bothers you that much bring cash. We have an ATM machine too. Cheers!!

fun place - but ever obnoxious, and sketchy staff

This has and continues to be a fun place. Big beers, and relatively cheap drinks keep it real. However, do not let Logan's WRITE DOWN YOUR DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER ON CREDIT CARD RECEIPTS or in some book. This is a complete violation of personal identification security as defined in 48.002 Texas Business and Commerce Code, and risks putting Logan's in a Civil Suit when one of its employs walks out with that receipt. Why? Because that employee could be aiding a violation of Texas Penal Code Section 32.51. So I would suggest you folks stop doing this. Last time the bar tender literally yanked my drivers license out of my hand. Dont go here until they stop doing this. What are you guys doing with those driver's license you write down??? My barterner actually wrote it on my receipt. Sketchy.

Slider's and big beers!

Wathched the UT/Nebraska game on saturday, my friends and I had a great time!! Big beers are the bomb!! The staff was great and the service was good. Bar tenders husled to get us our drinks. The movie and video clips add to the life of the party. The food at Logan's has got to be the best bar food in town! An order of Slider's and a big beer, YEAH!! We will be back at Logan's when we come back to Austin!

Fun place to hang....entertaining

Logan's is a fun place to hang out, which is evident by the crowds. This is an entertaining bar with a real unique style. It is very rare that you get something other than loud music as an excuse for a good time. They have TV's everywhere playing music videos and break in every now and then with great movie scenes....everyone stops what they are doing and watches the funny clip. Not to mention the BIG beers, must be forty ounces. Cool place, hot girls and a real fun time, gaurenteed paty.
