Great place to eat
by jenniferbelton at Citysearch
I enjoyed eating at Mars. The service was good and the food was wonderful. I had spring rolls, with a tangy but spicy sauce and stir fry. I will go back.

First time was very good
by locallocal at Citysearch
I went on a recent weekend for the first time. We were part of a large group, and I was happy to see that our table was waiting for us per our reservation. We started with drinks from the happy hour menu, and everyone was happy! My date and I shared the Tuna appetizer and the Spring Roll appetizer. For dinner, she had the Flounder and I had the Flank Steak; both were perfect. We also enjoyed several bottles of wine with our friends. The waiter did a good job with a large group: he was always there when I wanted something, at least.
It was a little on the loud side, but what can you expect with these crowded places? It was a very good first trip: I'll be back
Great Happy Hour!
by cmlynn at Citysearch
Me and my Boyfriend stopped in there for the Happy Hour and ended up having a four appetizers and wine, I must say that I was quite impressed. The Spicy Ahi Tuna Tartare paired with crispy wontons was my favorite, I was finished wanting more, the seasonings all come together with such great textures and equal an amazing bite of goodness each time. The Scallops & Gyoza were very interesting yet very delectable. The scallops were seared perfectly and the carrot gyoza were very sweet adding a nice soft texture and flavor to the scallops. As for the Duck Confit Wonton Chips with cherry-pomegranate chutney and goat cheese creme fraiche... this dish is screaming savory flavor. I loved this dish and I'm very glad I ended up getting it. I will order it again and again. Again the wonton chips were served and accomodated the duck very well. The cherry-pomegranate chutney was done to perfection. And the ever-so popular potsticker dumplings are not be left out. These were also very delicious, the crispiness was perfect and could not be done better. So all in all, I may not have experienced the actual entrees, but everything was in up-most quality and taste.
- Pros: Amazing food, very romantic, gorgeous interior
- Cons: None
Slow service, but food was really good
by heatherbeeme at Citysearch
Went here with a party of 8 based on a recommendation from a friend and the atmosphere is great. Very cool spot. However, it took about an hour to get our entrees once we were seated (and we had reservations). Food was great once it came out, but it kind of ruined the rest of our night out. I probably will come again.
- Pros: Food and good looking people watching
- Cons: Very Slow service
overpriced for quality
by iamfoodie at Citysearch
the appetizer mini-buffet was excellent and the one for 2 is enough for 3, 4 if it's girls. we had two girls eating the spread appetizer for 2 ($15) and i was nicely satisfied for the evening. but, we continued to eat. the halibuit ($27) was over cooked, slightly tough and dry, but the tomatoes cooked in wine were to die for. they just melted in your mouth. the service was ok. it was a little slow and it took quite some time to get our food or attention from the waiter although he was very nice...just busy. overall the food was good, but i thought the halibut was overpriced for the quality.
great food, but tiny portions
by bc3 at Citysearch
When I asked my husband to take me to Mars for our anniversary, he said "but their food is small"! I wanted to have an appetizer-fest, so we went. The dumplings were good, the goat cheese appetizer was OK. My husband asked the server (who was otherwise perfect) if he should order a salad with his steak & salmon entree. She said that it came with potatoes & vegetables. We nearly died laughing when she brought out his entree & the entire thing was about the size of 1/2 an orange!
also, if you're over 40, you'd better bring a flashlight to be able to read the menu!
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: Tiny portions, Ambience
Always a favorite

My wife and i recently returned to one of our favaorites. The waitstaff was extremely helpful and prompt. The food was outstanding. I don't know whatthese other folks are complaining about, every time I've been to this restaurant the service has been impeccable, with little or no wait. Try it for yourself.
- Pros: Great atmosphere, Good variety, Great drinks
- Cons: a little loud
fabulous
by branv at Citysearch
The atmosphere and the food were wonderful. The only thing I would change would be bigger table tops for parties of more then 2. There was just not enough room for drinks, appetizer, bread and main course. And I wish it were easier to get around the restaurant, forget going to the restroom, it was like being a sardine :) But overall, the food was well worth the crowding and the price.
