You Can't Go Wrong Here

Twice now I have brought my car in to C Van R and presented them with a perfect opportunity to take advantage of me. And twice now, they have done the RIGHT THING.

The first involved what I thought was a bad alternator: They could have replaced it and charged me an exorbitant amount. How would I have known?

But instead they told me that the belt had just slipped, and that they had fixed it for a nominal charge.

Then today, I brought the same car in, having stalled on the street. After diagnosing it, they told me my options were either a simple timing belt replacement for $500, or a complete overhaul for over $1000. Then, given the age and mileage of the car - and their resulting estimate of the car's worth - THEY SUGGESTED THE CHEAPER OPTION...

Where else are you gonna find a shop that honest?

Trustworthy auto repair.

C Van R does excellent auto repair and stands behind their work. Not inexpensive, but honest and dependable. A little slow at times, but worth waiting for. Highly recommended.

Best shop in downtown area

One of Austin's best kept secrets: a good, solid repair shop located right in the middle of town. You work downtown? Or live in Clarksville? Then you can drop off your car there, walk to your work or house, then later on walk back there to pick up your car. No need to commission a taxi or get a friend to drive you the long trek to the shop.

The work is professional and in my own experience has always been of good quality. So I recommend this shop with two enthusiastic thumbs up.
