MIGAS MIGAS...

Austin native I can tell you the Migas are the best you will ever eat. When you order get the Migas with fajita sausage not so great. Enjoy.

Best fajitas, great customer service, LOVE IT!! Fast and delicious.... either in a hurry, or nothing to do... Cisco's is the place to go.

If you are looking for a comfortable, cozy place to get a good, fast meal.... go to Cisco's. Migas, Piccadillos with ranchero sauce, all of their food is outstanding. Feels just like home, very cozy and comfortable... i eat there every weekend now!

Best breakfast - Migas

I have to disagree with the person who said Ciscos was a disappointment. I use to live in Austin but now I live in Houston and I LOVE CISCO'S. I drive all the way in from Houston every so often to have their MIGAS. I think they are the best. I have sampled Migas in several restaurants in Austin and Houston and by far Cisco's has the best. I also like their biscuits.

Terrible Disappointment

Cisco's is horrible.

I want to preface this by saying that I fully realize that I'm one of the only dissenting views on here, but I went to Cisco's based on the popular view and I suffered through one of the worst Mexican meals I have ever had in Austin.

Cisco's is all-around low-quality. The items I sampled (Migas, biscuits, breakfast tacos)were overpriced and had all the flavor of cafeteria food. The tortillas were especially bad; hard flavorless discs that looked and tasted like they were store-bought. Accompanying those disappointments was a bland, canned-tasting salsa. More than anything else, the food at Cisco's reminded me of the Tex-Mex common in the Midwest, a region with a Latino population too small to demand or create quality dishes. It's always a bad sign when there are no members of the ethnic group the food comes from, and at Cisco's, there wasn't a single Mexican-American sitting at the tables.

Cisco's seems to be one of those Austin restaurants that stays open based on a past glories it no longer achieves. With so many better options for Tex-Mex food in Austin (Las Manitas, Acuarios Cafe, El Gallo to name only a few), do yourself a favor, don't settle for mediocrity.

Best Fajitas

I've seen places come and go in Austin but Ciscos is never ending. there have been better Fajitas in town but as far as the best fajita taco NOW, Ciscos. Tell them to charr a little. This is not an upscale place so don't expect to be handheld or slobbered over. If you want some GREAT Migas, and great tacos including fajitas at a bargin price..........go to Ciscos.

• Pros: GREAT Migas and fajitas
• Cons: not upscale, and won't hold your hand if you need that.

LBJ's favorite breakfast spot is still going strong.

This friendly old Austin restaurant, open only for breakfast and lunch, is a laid-back mish-mash 1970s style. In the back, the Jody Conradt Room houses large tables for parties and big groups. Patrons can check out the memorabilia and take home a bit of Austin's history while they eat some of the best Tex-Mex around. Cisco's special consists of a beefy taco, a cheese enchilada in brown beefy gravy, Spanish rice and refried beans.

Fast and Delicious

Ok it is game time again(LONGHORNS!!) and if you are looking for good food that is fast, and delicious all in one. Then it is at Cisco's. If your looking for a friendly atmosphere like cheers (where everyone knows your name!), then come here more than twice and here's your place! Can be busy sometimes or real crowded with a line out the door, but that must be good then. Sure the staff might get overwhellemed and miss a refill, but the food and service any other time is worth coming back for. Us loyal customers know and appreciate, you just have to understand how Cisco's really is!

Not Impressed

This place is not worth the visit.

For lunch, they were out of any chicken items or menu items with steak. The wait staff was rude and never once asked if the food was ok or offered drink refills. The cashier was rude and refused to made eye contact.

Go to Darios or Nuevo Leon but skip this place.

Austin at its Prime

After walking across East Sixth from their parking lot and opening the door, I knew Cisco's prides itself on being another one of those places that keeps Austin unique. The friendly waitstaff recommended I try their migas on my first visit -- superb; deliciously spicy.
