We just got back from touring the Lamar location. The dogs where all indoors at the time we where there and where packed in, most in crates. What appeared to be the original kennels(permanent structures) were about 4 x 6 and had two large dogs in each. Stacked on top were smaller portable kennels(the plastic crates most use to travel with) and had smaller dogs. They even had a small hallway stacked up with about 8 kennels. I will note they had portable ventilation blowing into these kennels using flexible ducts which seemed to keep the dogs cool, but I don't think they were very comfortable. They said they had ~80 dogs in a facility that size. My dogs will not be staying there!
Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: Overcrouded, lack of real kennels, most dogs crated and doubled up!

then this is the place for you. They have no indoor play facility, therefore they have to take the dogs outside to play in shifts. They cannot or will not tell you how much time your dog spends out of the crate. From the way my dog acted when I picked her up, I would have to guess most of the day was spent in the crate. They never answer the phone and do not return phone calls until late evening. This is a popular place despite its major flaw, so you must book early. On the positive side, the staff is very nice and seems to genuinely like dogs.
Pros: Staff, Location
Cons: Excessive crating, No indoor play area

We go to several doggy day cares and like others better that let the dogs play all day (and then sleep at home at night!). Our dogs have always been happy and come home tired from the Metric location, even though they are in kennels some of the day. The staff are so friendly. However, we've stopped going to the Lamar location. Our dogs would always come home hyper, like they had been caged up all day. For the money, it wasn't worth it at that location. We've only used the McNeil one a couple of times so can't speak to it.
Pros: Dog lovin' staff, great hours, very flexible and will work with you
Cons: Dogs come home crazier at end of day - caged up all day

Taurus training on S. Lamar is fabulous. They have helped my rural dogs go from very unsocialized barker/biters to less stressed, more relaxed around other pups, able to play in groups with other dogs, and generally more obediant pets. My dogs love going and cannot wait for me to get up and get dressed every morning so we can all get in the car and go to Taurus. The staff are attentive, obviously good with dogs and are willing to supply any info I need about my two. When I see other people dropping their dogs off in the morning, those dogs also look enthusiastic to be going to Taurus. I am very pleased with their service and highly recommend them to anyone.

We've taken our dog to Taurus @ McNeil location several times for daycare & overnight stays. At first, everything seemed great - the service & our dog came back exhausted, which is a sign to us that she had a lot of playtime. Now it varies, some days she comes home acting as if she's been caged up all day & wants to play all night long, some days she's exhausted-which is a sign she's been very active. There were miscommunications from the staff, they "flagged" our dog as a dog who can only play w/ staff but never told us until we inquired about her behaviors after pickups (they apologized & adjusted the bill). We just want to make sure we get our money's worth, & we're unsure if this is the case. We will continue to proceed with caution.
Pros: Convenient, Socialization (some), Always available
Cons: No report card, vague communication, inconsistent results
