Can't miss this one

The Herb Bar is one of my top five favorite places in Austin. I always recommend a stop when I have visitors in town. If you need indulgences, they have them!
- Pros: Atmosphere, Staff, Selection
You won't find a shot of whiskey or a cold beer, but you will find an elixir or two.

The Scene
The first thing you'll notice upon entering the Herb Bar is the smell. It changes from day to day, but always brings to mind soothing images, such as a field of wildflowers, a candlelit bath or a calming cup of tea. The scents come from any number of items that are for sale at the Herb Bar--essential oils, dried herbs and teas, handmade candles, soothing creams, even lotions and potions for your pets.
The Goods
But the Herb Bar is about more than just products; it's about information and natural remedies, classes and massages, all backed up by a very informed and helpful staff who strive for total wellness of mind and body achieved in a natural way. And if the staff doesn't have the information you seek, they'll help you by pointing you to the right resource, be it a text on its shelves or something carried by another store.
