I do not live anywhere near Austin, but I have visited a friend a few times, and he took me to Baby A's to get a margarita. I have tried them at different places (and different states) and normally do not like them, but he suggested I try one. I am so glad I did because they are WONDERFUL!! They have so many options and the drinks are well worth the money. The food and service were very good too, but I everytime I am in Austin, I have to get a margarita at Baby A's. I even tell my friends in Pennsylvania about them!

Pros: good food/drinks, friendly staff, reasonable rates

Cons: sometimes crowded, sometimes parking

I went to Baby A's for the first time on a beautiful Austin Saturday afternoon. I should have known better because Shady Grove and Chuey's both had long waits and Baby A's was half empty. The food was okay at best. It reminded me of going to a "Mexican" restaurant in my small MidWest hometown. But mediocre food isn't what promted me to write a review... it was Sunday afternoon when I went to Shady Grove to eat. Baby A's had the worst singer I have ever heard. I think it was a little girl, which would be fine for a church picnic, but not for your restaurant on a beautiful Sunday. You can't swing a stick in Austin without hitting a good band, so why they choose this, I don't know.

Pros: Prompt seating, Decent patio

Cons: So-so food, Terrible music

The Margaritas at BABY A's are the best in Austin. Yo soy latina so I know. It is a restaurant for all occasions. A casual date or a family get together. Take the kids or leave the with the babysitter. It's really up to you. Just don't forget to try the Margaritas.

Simply, if you want the best margarita in the US, go to Baby Acapulco's in Austin, TX. Just pick your favorite fruit flavor. If you like it strong, go purple!

Pros: great food, several locations, good price

Baby A's has, for a long time now, had the BEST Margaritas in Austin, in the U.S. There is by far no comparison by anyother restaurant in town. And anyone that says different, must be from North of Dallas.

Pros: Margaritas!!!

They took forever to seat us even though they weren't busy. Then our server took forever to greet us and take our order. After sitting on the half-empty patio for 20 minutes without even being given chips or water, we walked out. Prior to this, I ate there with 3 friends a long time ago. Our waitress was rude to us and some kind of moisture on the wall was dripping on my friend. Next time, I'm going to Chuy's no matter how long the wait is!

Pros: blue margaritas

Cons: terrible service

I visist Baby A's at least once a week, at the 51st or Riverside location. Of course the Rita's are the best for after, but for lunch the Baby A's tortilla soup is to die for. I look forward to rainy days, that means soup for lunch. Now they even have appetitizers half-price on Mon & Tues. We need a Baby A's in San Marcos!!! It's a good thing I work in Austin, so I can get my soup fix weekly!

Pros: Service, Inexpensive

Cons: lacking parking
