Go for the experience, not the food

Gueros food is bland. The service and people watching are fun, its generally got a diner feel, and you can't complain about the energy. The prices are kinda high for what you get, which, as I mentioned before, is bland and sometimes lukewarm. But its all about the atmosphere, which is bright, fun, and just goofy. So, if you're wanting to hang with the hip kids, stick around. If you want good food, shlep on down Lamar to some of the best Mexican in Austin, right in the middle of a strip mall (Azul), and then take a cab back to Soco.
Pros: Atmosphere, decent service, location
