Guero's is so yummy! The food and service are well worth the wait (which never is too long due to the efficiency of the staff). I highly recommend the queso flameado and shrimp fajitas. Everyone seems to be happy at Guero's! .... maybe it's the margaritas, I don't know...
- Pros: It's all good
Excellent Scene

This is an awesome place to go and just hang out. The margarita's are incredible. The food is fresh and authentic and the scene is great. The inside is big and open and the patio is perfectly designed for outdoor relaxing. I recommend it.
Overall Guero's is the best TexMex in ATX

I've been to Guero's over 10 times and I have always had terrific food and it is always served fast and very fresh. I love their salsa bar though I despise those small little bowls. I always ask for the bowls they put the beans in which they always accommodate - that way I can really get my salsa fix. Their Margarita's are some of the best in town although they serve them in those tiny glasses. I'd rather pay more and get a heftier glass, but I can't complain about the quality. I really like to sit up at the Taco bar and watch them make tortillas while hanging out with friends. The atmosphere is always bustling, but in a warm, friendly way. Ocassionally I'll get the brownie sundae with Amy's Mexican vanilla - which just about kills me after I've eaten so much food, but wow does that top it off nicely. I'm then ready for a serious nap.
- Pros: Delicious fresh tasting food, awesome salsa bar and darn tasty margaritas.
- Cons: Small margarita glasses and tiny tiny salsa bowls.
I just wanted to hang out!

Went here apx. 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning -- not too crowded. Prompt seating & service. Good breakfast menu, not too large, but good. Laid-back atmosphere. Loved the migas. Nice family atmosphere.
- Pros: Good service, ample portions
- Cons: As always in Austin, parking
Great dining experience and very reasonable prices

We were at Gueros last Saturday night with a very large group of sixteen. They did their best to get us in quickly even though it was a crazy night. The waiter did awesome with this big of a group. Food was great and inexpensive.Would definitely go back!
- Pros: Great Food, Price, Great Service
- Cons: Margarita wasn't what I was hoping
Great Margaritas
by labradoodle at Citysearch
I don't care what anyone says - the margaritas here are pretty tasty. Yup, they come in small glasses and are $7 a pop but they're worth it. The food here is decent - nothing to write home about. I certainly didn't think it was overpriced in any way. I'd go back again.
Faboulos Tortilla Soup
by francodo at Citysearch
I like a brothy tortilla soup, not creamy. This soup has a citrusy hint. I also had the dinner salad with their own cilantro vinegarette. Loved it! My husband was most crazy for the fresh, home made tortillas.
Needless to say, it will be at the top of our 'gotta go to' places when we are in Austin again.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly staff, Healthy approach
- Cons: Noisy
A Great Place

Stop being so ridiculous! Do some of you honestly think the managers at this restaurant intend to hire rude, unprofessional wait staff? That is absolutely ridiculous! There is no doubt in my mind, if you had a problem with your wait staff and took it to management, they would take care of the problem. I seriously doubt management would put up with rudeness of any kind by their wait staff to their customersit would not be tolerated.
For those of you complaining about being charged $1.50 for chips.are you kidding! ITS A DOLLOR AND FIFTY CENTS! If thats going to break your bank, maybe you shouldnt eat out.
Dont let some of the comments here stop you from going to this place. Everything about it is great and I'm sure you'll feel right at home.
- Pros: Food, Drinks, people
Very tasty

This place is great to dine in, there are all kinds of alcoves to dine in and the service is great. The food is superior to all those except for Curra's Grill.
