Take at least 15 minutes to browse...it's worth it. great vintage clothes, handbags, jewellery and sundry funky house things..much cheaper than its contemporaries in surrounding blocks.

great vintage finds!

by pobodysnerfect at Citysearch

I can always find something to buy at New Bohemia. The staff is great at knowing where to direct me when I am looking for something specific. They really know their stuff! You can tell just by reading their label descriptions! The quality of their clothing is always really good and the prices are fair (especially for a shop on SoCo).

  • Pros: great high quality vintage finds, reasonable prices
  • Cons: can be crowded (because it's so awesome!)

Hidden treasure

by kittenpusher at Citysearch

It's a cool little store. I popped in there one day and found this cool little necklace with a pendant of a mountain scene. I thought it was kitchy, but on closer inspection I saw that each little piece of the landscape was a different stone inlay. It was a pretty cool find for $5.

A SoCo favorite known for turning on person's junk into another's treasure.

In Short
You'll know it by its sidewalk display--a strangely compelling array of goods ranging from the silly furry brown papasan to the sublime chandelier, all subject to change on a daily or even hourly basis. Inside, there are racks of chaotically arranged clothes. A pair of 1920s, wool tuxedo pants reside next to a pair of red, white and blue denim bell-bottoms. Extras from the back room include vinyl-covered ottomans, State Fair ashtrays and Mardi Gras beads in aluminum canisters.
