wonderful shopping experience!

My daughter said we just HAD to go there for the clothes, so I took her and her friend. She found 3 jeans and a tshirt that were fashionable and affordable, and I got to shop around checking out the non-clothing items, like books for sale. i just loved the decor, the artful displays of merchandise (the Where the Wild Things Are section made me feel like I was in that magical world!) and the [personalized service. Thank you Candace and Susanna for your upbeat and helpful service! I'm sure we'll be going to this store again! : )

• Pros: quality items for sale, feel-good ambience, great service
• Cons: parking, but hey what else is new in Austin?

Straight from the funky street styles of Southern Philly, this bohemian-chic shopping mecca has evolved to offer everything from trendy men and womens clothing to vintage-y home accessories. Brands like Lux, BDG, and Free People encompass the stores' youthful, ironically humorous, and comfortable designs. While apparel is the main draw, the urban emporium also sells kitschy, retro, and downright odd knick knacks and accessories for the living room, bedroom, and kitchen as well. Each section is packed with creative arrangements to peruse while listening to a soundtrack of the staff's favorite tunes.

Urban Outfitters is about the most unique place to shope becides South Congress. Urban Outfitters has a very laid back atmosphhere.They carry great brands such as Lacoste & Ben Sherman.

Rude Staff

The staff at Urban Outfitters leaves so much to be desired. They are often rude, arrogant, and make shopping there unpleasent. The clothing is overpriced and not of good quality.

Austinite Hdqtrs.

The fashion here compliments of your typical Austinite, if coordinated well. The styles are unique and trendy, but at the same time the clothes are mainstream. I guess that would be an oxymoron. Just like any other retail store, each unique style is produced in mass quantities. Allowing you to have the same shirt as 10 other people walking down the drag. But I'll give it to almost every person in austin that they know how to decorate themselves in a way that cannot be duplicated.

• Pros: sale rack, great!
• Cons: limited parking, poor service
