I've always loved any type of buffalo chicken with lots of bleu cheese, so Pluckers is a favorite of mine. It's kind of dive-ish, and every time I've been have had to wait at least ten minutes, but the bleu cheese and buffalo chicken tenders/wings/buffalo chicken sandwiches are worth it. We recently had Pluckers delivered, but they forgot to bring an extra side of bleu cheese and an order of french fries, and the french fries we did get were soggy because they were packed in the same styrofoam container as the buffalo chicken fingers. I probably won't order delivery again...next time I'll dine in or pick up and save the $3 delivery charge and tip for the driver. Don't go on trivia night unless you want to listen to the highly obnoxious trivia guy who wanders around the place and shouts into the microphone while getting drunk on the beer he totes and swearing at the people who heckle him.

Pros: bleu cheese

Cons: obnoxious trivia guy

Okay, so apparently this place is a sports bar...not so sure. If asked to put on the audio to any game, what you'll quickly find out is that the place does not put on any audio game footage unless it is a UT game. What they play instead is music. I guess this place is known for people coming for the loud, out-of-control alternative rock jams. Even the waitress said the music was so loud she couldn't hear herself think--not the kind of place I want to watch a football game. Won't be coming back, since what brought us here in the first place was thinking this place was serious about watching sports.

Pros: Eating chicken wings

Cons: Watching sports of any kind

We tried this place and were pleasantly surprised. Quirky service was fun, the food was tasty, and the carry out menu extensive. We will definitely return! Great wings, onion rings and fried pickles. Never thought something so strange would taste so good. Only down side is the place was pretty dirty, and we went pretty early on a Sunday. I guess I can learn not to look down while I eat!

Pros: Great food, fun atmosphere & staff, prices are fair

Cons: The 183 location Could be cleaner

Pluckers has some of the best wings in Austin. Pluckers has been a favorite of mine since I could use Bevo Bucks to order in to my room inside Jester. Still the place has the same great taste of wings as it always does. The different flavors for the wings are all delicious, the fire-in-the-hole wings are killer (literally), and the fried pickles make this place a great place to eat. If you have to get a burger, I would suggest the honey bbq burger. Overall it's a great place to hang with friends and/or family.

I am a big fan of this place. The wings are great. Be sure to get the cajun wings and ask for your favorite sauce on the side. The cajun seasoning is adds a great flavor. Tuesday used to be 25 cent wing night. Now that has risen to 50 cents. Wait can be long when students are in town. Service is usually pretty good. Be sure to get the "Pluckers Card" for $10 coupon for every $100 purchased.

Pros: Cajun wings, Fries, Beer specials

Cons: Can be busy

I love Pluckers - a lot! I go there for all my special events - 5 year anniversary? Gotta go to Pluckers. I love the "fire in the hole" wings - the sauce is crazy hot & the wings are crisp and tasty. Their homemade blue cheese dressing is out of this world! And the beer specials - OMG! The only issues I have ever have has been with delivery - the food may arrive cold & usually never has enough celery sticks. But dining in has always been great. My vegetarian friend loves to go with me too - for the fried pickles & stuffed jalapenos. The staff is usually very friendly & helpful. Management has always been quick to resolve any issues & reacts very professionally.

Pros: Wings, Beer, Price

Cons: Delivery (sometimes)

I didn't think the burgers were good at all. I was really disappointed. But their fries were not bad. You must, however, try their fried pickles. I usually just come in for that. If you dare, try the fried twinkies, too, even at least once. This place gets really crowded comes game days, so get here early!

Pros: service, fried pickles!, reasonable prices

I can't say enough about Pluckers! The food is fantastic; it's cooked to order so it always comes out hot, and of course, delicious! The wings are the best in town, but the vast menu gives you so many options it's hard to choose! Fried pickles anyone? Pluckers has the best atmosphere on game days and is the best place to be if you're not at the game! Not to mention the fantastic service! Great job, Pluckers! Finally, a restaurant gets it right!

I've now been to both Pluckers in Austin (I think there's just the two). The wings are ok, nothing to write home about. But the rest of their menu, although vast for a resturaunt of its ilk, is greatly lacking in quality. I hate to say that I have been to Pluckers for times (due to co workers) and each time have left disapointed. Also don't dare to go to thier north Austin location in the evening, after you wade through all the employees smoking out front you have to put up with white trash regulars how act like they own the place and dominer the wait staff. I have never left a review for any resturaunt online or anywhereelse for that matter, but I cannot rail against pluckers enough. They are classless and there food, service, and demenor, just aren't very good. STAY AWAY!!

Pros: Can't think of any

Cons: Too many to mention
