It is super cheap, and they deliver late-night! Such a friendly staff from ordering to delivery. Veggie lo-mein is like badass ramen to the tenth power. Love it! (no it isn't healthy or gourmet)

  • Pros: late night delivery, cheap

this is the most DISGUSTING food i've ever eaten! well, i shouldn't say eaten, because it was so gross that i had to toss my shrimp with broccoli after trying to eat one bite.

i don't know if the shrimp was bad or what, but it smelled like dead fish and made my entire house smell.

it would one thing if the food were this bad but the people who worked there were nice, but they weren't.

if this place closes down, it would be doing austin a favor.

In Short
Since it's located on the Drag, Magic Wok is primarily populated by hungry students looking for a break from greasy burgers and cheese-dripping nachos. But the staff is friendly and the food is consistently good and more importantly, cheap. The menu covers it all from appetizers--egg rolls, spring rolls, steamed dumpling--to entrees. Just decide whether you want seafood, beef, chicken or all vegetables.

The food is very, very good and its all cheap. With nothing over 5.00, you can't beat it. It's great for ordering in, but if you're going to eat there, don't take your date there. Its a very small ugly building (Inside and out) and the service isn't so great when you work there. When ordering in, sure to speak clear because if you get the wrong order and try to tell them they are wrong, you won't like what you here.

The other reviews speak the truth, Magic Wok is perhaps the cheapest place to get lunch close to campus. I had sweet and sour chicken and it was pretty typical. My vegetarian brother had a fried bean curd and was disappointed that it didn't come with more veggies (he said he got the same thing last week and it was loaded with vegetables). If you eat their food, stick with delivery or carryout, the restaurant isn't very clean and had a funky smell. For my money, I'd rather go to Yen Ching or Wok n' Go.

  • Pros: Cheap Food
  • Cons: Dirty
