Review from a parent's point of view
by canwetalk
Unable to get a tix for the UT/A&M blow-out, I hunkered down at C&A to watch the game on TV. Another "parent looking" couple struck up a conversation. Lo & behold, they were the owners' parents. Terrific folks. They invited me to join them, bought me a drink & food, made me feel right at home & comfortable, even though I was by myself. Once the "kids" showed up, it was time to clear out, but it's nice to find a place where everyone can fit in, and the owners take the mantra of "customer service" to a high level.
- Pros: Cheerful, well-run
- Cons: Limited parking
Not a fair review

Okay, I've only recently started going here so I haven't experienced the place with the college crowd in town. What I have seen, though, is a great neighborhood bar, not too much atmosphere but a friendly ambiance, with tasty, generously portioned food at reasonable prices. I will recommend the fries, especially with all the extras, but I can't say anything good about the nachos. Lots of televisions, and specials seemingly all the time.
- Pros: Better than most.
- Cons: Menu needs a little work...
A bar straight out of "Animal House" serving the UT campus.

In Short
This well-known, well-frequented, college sports bar has been a staple near UTA's Greek area for years. Many consider this bar the best place to watch UT away games while trying to meet that perfect sorority girl or frat guy. Complete with an upstairs deck and a downstairs patio, Cain & Abel's offers a menu geared to satisfy any sports bar appetite: breakfast burritos, tacos and the Southwest Melt of roast beef, onions, jalapenos and cheese.
