Darned good greasy burger!
by defman
This review is of the Anderson/IH-35 location.... No pre-cooked burger here, fresh off of the grill. Burger was very tasty but could have used more spices in my opinion. Fries were crisp & fresh, with a little seasoned salt on them. All-in-all, it was a great lunch and I'm all over going back when I'm in the cheeseburger mood! Judging by the line of people waiting to place an order, it's gotta be a good place all the time!
- Pros: Good Food
- Cons: None I can think of.
Bad Burger Experience. Get the chili.
by toppertx
I used to be a fan of this place but now my feelings are mixed. If you think the bulgoki is good- try the bowl of chili! It is one of the best in town. On the down side, the burgers are bland and the last time I ordered one, it had been pre-cooked and arrived ice cold. They forgot to warm it up. There are plenty of places in Austin where you can get a burger hot off the griddle.
- Pros: Funky atmosphere. Wide menu selection.
- Cons: Burgers no longer cooked when ordered.
Korean Burger?
by pinoyvlf
Burger Tex has a chill atmosphere and good burgers, but there is one thing that makes this place interesting.... the Bulgogi Burger! Bulgolgi burger is basically a kind of sweet Korean BBQ, and putting this inside a burger makes you think "What an idea!" The regular burgers here are still greasy and good, but for something a little different go for the Bulgogi Burger!
- Pros: Bulgogi Burger!
good no frills burger place
by kpp58
has a fixin's bar so you just order the type of burger you want. the bulgogi is great and the veggie burgers are good too. place is really low-maintenence.
- Pros: bulgogi
- Cons: a bit on the dirty side
Not sure where these reviews are coming from.

I have not tried the Bulgoki burger, but this is not what these ratings are about. We are talking about a traditional GROUND BEEF hamburger. I have not been to this location, but if the one in Pflugerville is the same. I have to say McDonald's has a better hamburger. It seems like they are trying to emulate fuddrucker's and failing miserably. It was dry burger that tasted like it had a ton of fillers in it. Horrible.
- Pros: none
- Cons: Horrible Burger

Good price, great great taste!!
I highly recommend Bulgogi burger.
But, classic burger is also great.
BEST BURGER!
by mochicrusader
I went there for the first time after reading the reviews and it was by far the best burger I've EVER had. My boyfriend agrees. The meat is juicy and very flavorful; as a sidenote this means use more of the condiments so you can taste them.
The fries are also pretty good, but nothing memorable. (I generally think fries are just "good.")
The staff is very friendly!
If you're looking for a shake though, be careful, because I don't think they even serve them. (I could be wrong, but it wasn't anywhere on the menu.)
- Pros: best burger, good price

Burger Tex is the best. The burgers are great, the veggies are fresh, and the staff is very friendly.
The bulgogi is awesome- I usually just get a 6 oz. burger and love that too!
This is by far my favorite burger in Austin.

Best flavor of any hamburger in Austin, great fries, what Fuddrucker's wishes it was. Cheap, too. Bulgogi's great, give it a try.
- Pros: Inexpensive, tasty
- Cons: so-so parking, crowded
