Chicago-style pizza right here in Austin
by rocklickers at Citysearch
I went to Chicago for the first time recently and the pizza truly is great! Since I've been back, I've been eating Mangia's Chicago style pizza quite frequently. Very authentic!

GREAT Pizza. Reminds me of the being back in Chicago. Good lunch deals with salads. Other things on the menu are equally as good, but it will be impossible not to eat the Pizza! Service varies based on the time of day and the bathrooms are not always the cleaniest.
- Pros: Quality, Value
- Cons: parking
OK, not that great

Well its a local chain and its nearby, a plus. Cons: The pizza isn't that tasty; kind of bland for stuffed pizza. Too bad the nearest Pizzeria Uno is in Fort Worth; hint some friendly competition.
- Pros: Local
- Cons: Food is bland
Mediocre

I have eaten the famous Lou Malnati's Chicago style sausage pizza when I visited Chicago. I missed the taste so much that I decided to give Mangia a try. I got their sausage stuffed pizza and ended up very disappointed. The pizza was plain. I thought I was eating some pizza from Pizza Hut with a failure attempt at Chicago style. Definitely not worth the money.
- Pros: Close location
- Cons: Expensive

The folks at Mangia haven't quite nailed the Chicago formula. But, given the sad state of pizza in Austin, this is one of the better options. Their delivery drivers are always cool hipsters too.
