Although the beliefs epsoused by many members may seem laughable, teh Chuch of Scientology is no joke. it is ultimately a pay-to-pray organization that is extremely difficult to extricate oneself from. Members pay great deals of money to audit classes which are geared towards brainwashing them for multiple lifetimes of servitude. Critics are silenced with mob-style tactics, and frvolous lawsuits. People who are vulnerable and desperatre are targeted for membership, and things that could help them (therapy, medications, support from people outside the organization) are demonized.
Do your research, tell your friends and family, stay away, and treat current members with care and concern. They need your help to break loose. Information is free. Scientology is not.
