Great food & Great Service

Our offices moved in November 2008... So we were trying different places to eat... I came across Los Portales and thought I would try it.... The first time we went in I thought the owner looked familiar! Then I went back another time and finally put two and two together to figure out who he was.... He worked at another restaurant that I went to years ago(like 15)!!! He actually remembered me and my group of friend!!!! He always made you feel like you belonged there! You are not just another customer! He talks to you like you are a friend or family member!!!!! Great customer service! AND GREAT FOOD at reasonable prices!!! Roger the owner is a wonderful person! Its always nice to see a smiling face and someone who cares about their customers!!! THIS PLACE IS A MUST TRY!!!!

The Best Tortilla Soup Anywhere!

After moving from San Antonio to Austin, I began to believe I would have to regularly travel south to find the kind of really superb Mexican food that I was used to. That's when I found Los Portales. The tortilla soup is unique and the best I've ever had. The enchiladas suizas are incredibly good. And the salsa is fresh and delicious. On top of which, the owner really takes care of his customers and you feel like a welcome guest. If you are looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and reasonable prices, this is the place!

• Pros: Great food, great service, easy access
• Cons: None! I'm there as often as possible.

Best lil restaurant in town

This place is wonderful. It is family owned and operated to start . The food is fresh , hot , and taste great . And whether it is your 1st visit or your 100th your always treated like a friend . Everyone should try this place . Go one time and you will be a regular.

The Best Mexican Food!!!

I have been going to Los Portales for about 5 years for the best green chicken enchiladas y chimichangas you can ever find. The food is wonderful, the service is great and very affordable. Their lunch specials are very good and everything in the menu great taste and at good prices, go there, you will not regret it. It is kind of hard to find with the construction near it, but look for the little mall, next to Pizza Hut.

Best food in town

My family and I have been going to this place for about 10 years.The owner , Roger, has always made us feel like family.The food is wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed , and the staff is friendly.If you want a great place to eat with fab food , GO HERE! You won't be sorry.

It just doesn't get better than LP!

The food, ah the food. Best enchiladas in town, my friend. And better giant burritos than those other big burrito places.

The green sauce is to die for and the queso actually taste like cheese. Go, eat, be happy.
