I’ve had the hardest time finding a good auto repair shop that fixes volkswagons but after my experience today, I’m sold on Dave’s Ultimate Auto. I stopped in and they were able to get me right in and out all while being very friendly and- not pressuring me into anything I didn’t need. After talking to them about some of their recommendations and the overall service I received, I was so happy walking out of there knowing I’ve found a good group of honest guys that I can trust. I will be happy to recommend them to anyone I know!!

I have known Dave for years and have watched him grow his business with a very simple business philosiphy. He seems to really care for his customers not just thier cars. I have used him for over 15 years and I send my friends, employees and family to him all the time! I just have a tremendous amount of trust and confidence with all of his employees and certified mechanics that anyone could hope for in an auto repair shop. The best part about it in my opinion is that the place is ALWAYS CLEAN over there! As a very busy small business owner here in Austin, I like the email reminders that I get from Dave's to tell me to just "go change my oil" or "rotate my tires". Time just gets away from me and they keep me on track for the best possible life for MY car. I really appreciate service like that since cars aren't cheap anymore and you really have to keep up with the maintenance for them to last a long time! I even bought my 4 new tires there and LOVE THEM!

Dave's has courteous, knowledge, efficient staff who give me a fair price. They drive me back to work and remind me when I have services I need. I highly recommend Dave's.

I've been taking my cars to Dave's for years and have always received straightforward and honest advice and the best quality care and service I've ever experienced. Dave's puts customer service and quality care first and truly cares about satisfying its customers. Speaking of service, Dave's also has a shuttle service and offers discounts for scheduling in advance on its Web site. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Since returning to Austin in 1998 I have used Dave's shop for all automotive assistance for myself & I always suggest their shop to anyone in need of car maintenance. A great convenience is their shuttle service which would take me to work & pick me up when the job was complete. It is also great to know they have coupons online in addition to letting you schedule work in advance. My '96 Pathfinder has over 145K miles & because of Dave's maintenance I plan to go another 100K. The north location was a little far from South Austin BUT an auto shop with mechanics you can trust is worth the drive! I am so happy to now know that they have a South Austin location. With over ten years of going to the same shop I have come to recognize the mechanics in the shop & its comforting knowing they recognize me when I come in. This kind of service is not common in today's hustle & bustle of our growing city.

Pros: Honest repairs, if it's something that can wait, they'll tell you so.

Cons: none, there are now two locations North & South so there's no long drive in traffic.

A friend of mine referred me to Dave's Ultimate Automotive when I needed my safety inspection and an oil change. They are kind of located off-the-beaten path near Mopac and Wells Branch; but easy to find once you turn on Howard lane. I was able to drop my car off at 7:30 am and their shuttle service got me to work by 8:00 am. The other thing I liked was that they made recommendations of needed maintenance items, but they didn't pressure me into doing them right then and there like most other shops. They pointed out the major concerns and gave me a timeline on how soon to get them done. I heard they are opening up a second location on Congress and Ben White which means they must be doing well and doing something right. I would definitely recommend Dave's Ultimate Automotive for repairs or maintenance on your vehicle!

They offer great service and have a friendly staff. Their pick up and drop off service is so helpful. I have already recommended them to several friends.

I have known and been using Dave's U. A. for over 12 years. Not every shop offers you a ride to wherever you need to go or even lets you use a car to run an errand. Dave's isn't always the cheapest place for a quote, but do you always want cheapest and what might come with it? They have never "talked me into a repair" unless it was vital to the health and maintainence of my vehicle and often they work with me on payment plans. This is one of the few "family owned and run" businesses or shops around. They stick to their word and nothing is ever a surprise when you get your statement. I would send anyone there in a heartbeat. Now they have a south store too for my friends downtown... Keep it up Dave! and congrats on a job well done!

Pros: help with payment plans, ride to or from work, friendly and informative

Cons: prices are not the lowest but dedication is the highest

I've received great service at Dave's. They are a full service repair shop, offering much more than just oil changes. I love the email reminders when I need service. They keep detailed records of what services your vehicle has received, and what it needs. You won't get that at the corner "lube shop". It's also very convenient to be able to get state safety inspections done, as well as minor and major service and repairs.

Pros: Free internet access in waiting room (on their computer).

Cons: They can be hard to find your first time there.

if you have to give these guys any thing is they really try hard to take care of every body. they really care about my satisfaction. honest

Cons: alot of people hear about them so have patience they are woth it
