The Snow Pea was hard to find (get a Better Sign). Though the food was Good eveything else was not as reviewed by my fellow reviewers. It was Saturday Noon time and My wife (Korean) and I were really not impressed and certainly not worth driving back to. Like I said ........... "A bit Over Rated".

Though Snow Pea is not the easiet restaurant to find, you will be happy that you have found it after your dining expierence. Greeted by friendly service, the food is prepared very quick compared to other chinese restaurants. The enviorment is also quite nice. A beautiful water fall caps it off. The food is excellent. MY personal favorite was the Spicy Cilantro Scallops.....seasoned perfectly with a nice crisp, they will fill you up quite well. All in all, Snow Pea is one of the best if not the best Chinese Restaurants I have dined at in a long time.
- Pros: Great food, friendly staff, quick service
- Cons: little bit hidden
WOW, Great for Families

I have been to every Sushi joint in Austin & Snow Pea gets my vote.
This is not your typical Sushi Place, it feels like home. The waterfall is just loud enough where you can have a conversaion and not feel like you being listened to by everyone else. The Sushi is outstanding. Get the Crunchy California. The food is excellent but the service is far more spectacular. Our waiter was very attentive but not a bugaboo. The light conversaion and humor made our experience Excellent. The manager made sure we had a great time as she carried my two year old daughter around to chat with the other tables and to gather tons of fortune cookies. My entire party had a blast and enjoyed far more sushi than we should have ate. Snow Pea is by far the greatest family welcoming Sushi Restuarant I've found in Austin.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Great parking, Happy Hour
one word...GREAT
by theluman at Citysearch
THe food was delicious, the service was great, and the restuarant was nice. I eat alot of food, i weigh 400lbs+, but i've never had food so satisfying. The sushi was absolutley tasty, the dumplings were perfect and the sesame chicken was perfection. A++++++!!!!!! the only bad part of the whole night was the music, im not into jazz, more a hip-hop kind of guy. THUMBS UP~!!!
- Pros: good price, quality, curteous
Does not live up to hype

After reading the reviews, I was pretty excited about this restaurant. However, the restaurant disappointed on almost every level. The food was average to below average quality - my dumplings were cold and looked like they had just been defrosted. The "bulgogi" was not the wonderful Korean dish, but rather beef stir fry that was nearly too salty to eat. Overall, don't waste your time - unfortunately, PF Changs is still the best, then Suzy's.
- Pros: Variety, Some Ambience, Portions
- Cons: Quality of Food, Price
Best Chinese Food in Austin!
by rdeschner at Citysearch
Snow Pea is the best kept secret in Austin. I have never eaten at a better Chinese/Sushi restaurant in all of my years in Austin, and I eat out a lot! It is hidden behind a strip-mallesque facade, but inside you will find an intricately decorated Chinese food hideaway. To top it off, even a college student could afford its modest prices.
....And you won't believe the sushi!
- Pros: Inexpensive, Not Crowded, Great Atmosphere
- Cons: Hidden
Wonderful!!!

I've never been much into sushi until I ate at Snow Pea, now I crave it all the time. The sesame chicken is also Great. The egg drop soup is pretty good, but I must comment on the crab rangoons. I used to live in Springfield , MO which is a terrible town, but it has tons of chinese food (cashew chicken was invented there). Anyway, most resauarants there have really good crab rangoons and when I moved back to texas, everyone's crab rangoons totally sucked. That is until I had Snow Pea's crab rangoons. MMM, a little sweet and delicious, and not greasy at all. The service has always been quite good, they are starting to recognize me now. And they also deliver which is awesome, Sushi right to your door!
- Pros: good food, cheapdelicioussushi
