My fiancee and I went to Calvin's to buy an engagement ring and were helped out by Shelby. We had her undivided attention from the moment we went in to the store. We were treated to a glass of mimosa and shown all the rings that we could want. Shelby was very good with us and struck a fine balance between patience (as we dallied over the range of rings) and guidance, to ensure that we moved forward in the process of getting the right ring. Shelby was also very good at meeting the budget constraints that I gave her from the beginning. Naturally, we ended up with a ring which came right up to the limits, but I do not begrudge that at all. I truly feel that we got the perfect ring; my fiancee loves the ring and loved the experience of buying it. I will certainly go back to Calvin's for our wedding rings and other jewelry purchases. I would also recommend Calvin's to others. There was no hard sell, there was a very wide range of rings. One thing your should bear in mind; you probably will not be able to take your ring away that day as they are made to order. Be aware of this if you are buying a ring in order to give it to someone on a specific day.

Cons: The hours may be limited for some people, but not majorly

I can't begin to say enough good things about Calvin's Fine Jewelry, the team that works there, and Calvin himself. I have had the pleasure of shopping at Calvin's for many years. Without fail, I have been impressed with the tasteful selection available. It ranges from the ultimate in traditional styles, to elegant new contemporary designs. I have never been disappointed doing business with these fine people. [My wife has been pleased too!]. Calvin always makes time to understand what I am looking for and the significance of the purchase. I am made to feel like the most important customer. Service after the sale is just as impressive as the jewelry itself. My wife and I have dropped in on many occasions to have Calvin inspect settings and clean rings for special occasions or events. I have come to know Calvin as a fine individual too. He is a master craftsman, a true artist, a tasteful buyer, and a caring individual. After years of working with Calvin, I am glad to call him a friend. I would encourage anyone that is in the market for that perfect ring, or in search of an exquisite gift to visit with the folks at Calvin's.

I had a really nice experience designing and purchasing my redesigned engagement ring at Calvin's. My ring broke and I decided to have my ruby reset in a different setting rather than have the old one soldered. I worked with Catherine to come up with a unique design suited towards me and my unusual taste. She was wonderful: she has a keen sense of style and design and has a charming demeanor. Both Lindsey and Angela were also helpful the other couple of times that I came in. Much to my surprise, the ring was create fairly quickly. I LOVE IT!!! I would highly recommend Calvin's to anyone looking for fine jewelry and/or seeking custom work done. Thank you Calvin's!

When you are greeted at the door with a warm welcome and then offered a mimosa, you know you entered the right jewelry store! Sandy Martinez was on-hand to help me find a wedding band for my fiance. We were in and out in 30 minutes and walked out with the ring in hand. She could tell I had a limited amount of time before my husband lost interest so she made the experience easy and painless. The customer service was top-notch and I only hope my 1st anniversary present comes from Calvin's. Start chilling the champagne now!

I wanted to share a story about Calvin's jewelry and the assistance that I received from Sandy Martinez. I asked my wife to marry me on a Friday night- she accepted and we decided to get married on that Sunday in Las Vegas. Knowing I was in a huge time crunch, I went to Calvin's Jewelry and worked with Sandy Martinez there. She had helped me in the past with some earrings for my wife about 2 months prior- gave me a wonderful discount and my wife loved the diamond hoop earrings- so I went back to her. Sandy was very unselfish through the whole process. She could tell I was anxious because I needed to make this ring special and I didn't have $10,000 in the bank! She got with Kathy and together they worked through one of the most beautiful rings in the store. They were able to help me get the financing that I needed and discounted thousands so that I could get the ring that my wife wanted and deserved. Additionally, Sandy encouraged me to bring both of our rings in to get them cleaned and serviced by Calvin- no charge. She has also helped me with my watch! I have been back on a regular basis and have referred clients to Calvin's because of the attention Sandy has given me. Go by and see her if you have something special coming up in your life- you will not regret the experience.

My soon to be husband purchased my engagement ring at Calvin's and they worked with him for weeks until he found the perfect ring! It is beautiful and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We also lost track of time and had to rush to Calvin's after work one day to order our bands so that they would get here in time. They made sure the rings got to us in plenty of time, even at such short notice! They have great people working there, and they are always willing to help!

I had such a great experience at Calvin's looking for an engagement ring. They have a beautiful selection and all of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Sandy Martinez was helping me. She was friendly, knowledgeable and patient! We picked a beautiful ring that I am extremely pleased with. I highly recommend Calvin's and will be going back there for the wedding bands.

Outstanding customer service!!! I wanted to purchase my wife a new wedding ring so I looked at ten different jewelry stores until I remembered Calvin's was located on Far West Blvd. When I went into the store I meet Lindsey who showed me all of their platinum ring choices. I found exactly what I had been looking for that was absolutely stunning. Compared to all of the other jewelry stores that I had shopped at in Austin area Calvin's was a much more relaxed atmosphere. If you want quality jewelry at a fair price, with outstanding customer service, Calvin's is the only store in Austin that I would shop at.

I had a situation where I lost a piece of jewelry that was of great sentimental value to me and the line had been discontinued. I had searched everywhere trying to replace it and it seemed that another one just didn't exist. I was devastated until I spoke with Shelby at Calvin’s who told me that they could create the piece for me out of a matching earring from the line. I couldn't believe it. It arrived yesterday and it looks just like the one I lost. They were so helpful throughout the entire process and really saved the day!

The personal service that Lindsey provided to me was fantastic. As a guy, walking into a fine jewelry store can be quite overwhelming, but she made my visit easy, showed me everything I wanted to see and answered all of my questions. There is no comparison between the service at Calvins and that which I received at other fine jewelry stores in the city. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to potentially working with Lindsey and Calvin's in the near future.

Pros: Great Service, nice selection of jewelry, ample parking, great feeling inside of store

Cons: Strip shopping center, outside of store is ok
