A very pleasant first time experience

This office is very comfortable and efficient. I am new to Austin and I am glad I have found a good dental team to go to. Everything about my dental health was explained in a clear and polite way and I was given advice on how to improve my already good oral hygiene. This is certainly not the usual sterile, cold medical office most have come to expect. Their are flat screen TV's above every seat to entertain you while the technician does his/her work. I look forward to my next visit.

The Greatest Dentist

I have been a patient of Dr. McCarty's for almost 25 years and have been so impressed with the continued professionalism, state-of-the-art equipment, procedures and personal interest in my needs. The staff is superb and friendly, my insurance claims seamless! I moved about an hour away from Austin in 1994 and, after trying dentists in my small town and surrounding area, happily drive to Dr. McCarty for dental care. I am also delighted that he has been honored for his work by Texas Monthly Magazine as one of the top dentists in Texas!

Breat dentist great office

I've been a patient of Dr. McCarty's for almost twelve years. My husband goes as well. We have had nothing but postive experiences with this office/dentist. I have had to have quite a bit of work done and it has been done right and with great comfort. I've never been prodded into getting any service that I did not need. I recently asked for and had my teeth whitened. It turned out great. The hygenist that did it was very concerned with my being happy and discussed what to do to keep the teeth their whitest.

I would reccomend this office to anyone who needs a kind caring dentist and a great office staff.

Dr. McCarty is an "out of network" provider for our insurance. They submit our claim forms for us on the same day of our visit so we get reimbursed rather quickly.

Thanks guys for being an outstanding office.

Excellent Service

My wife and I, and our youngest son, have been patients of Dr. McCarty since we moved to Austin in late 2005. We are notified of our pending appointments several times, by mail, by text message, and by e-mail. I'm in on time, which I like. I also find that Dr. McCarty is not trying to "sell" me what I don't need in contrast to a dentist I once had. It's an extremely well run office with nice people and a very competent dentist. I don't recall how we found Dr. McCarty, probably by referral, but I'm glad we did.

Rudest Staff on Earth

I have been going to this dentist for 2 years. I made an appointment for a teeth cleaning and they scheduled me fo 8 am the very nexty day so I was thrilled to have such fast turnaround. I have a 10 week old who tends to be fussy in the mornings as all babies do. I called 30 minutes prior to my appointment to cancel becuase she was sick only to be notified that I would be charged $100 for not cancelling within 48 hours. Well that would have been impossible since I didnt even have the appointment 48 hours before. Plus no one had notified me when I made the appointment of the fee. She said the fee is clearly posted on the website! I work 50 hours a week and tend to my child when I get home. Like I ever considered visiting or reading their website with the plethora of free time I have. I explained my situation and hoped she could sympahtize with a new mother. But the rude receptionist said, "Well maybe next time you shouldnt schedule a morning appointment knowing you have an infant. I cannot waive the fee. I'll take your credit card when you are ready." HOW UNBELIEVABLE! Apparently its my fault I had the child. Thanks for the empathy lady! Needless to say I paid the $100 fee. 2 days later I found a new dentist and had my records transfered.

Let me offer an incite on the expectations of our staff. Our office guideline on cancellation of reserved appointments is that we have no guideline. Every client's cancellation of a last minute appointment is evaluated on the merits of the situation. We aren't hard hearted; we have families, too. But after this particular client canceled her THIRD appointment at the last minute, we thought it would be reasonable to charge for the appointment. This person deprived another client of this valuable available time. As professionals, all we have to offer is our time and services. We respect our clients time by being on time for our appointments. We would like the same consideration. Have a Wonderful Day! Dr. Mike

One of the Best Dentists in Texas two years in a row!

My family and I have been patients of Dr. McCarty for over 20 years. I was not at all surprised to see that he was recently nominated by his dental peers as one of the best dentists in Texas both in 2006 and 2007 as reported by the independent survey in Texas Monthly magazine. In addition, for 2007 he was also named by his peers as one of the best cosmetic dentists in Texas. Way to go Dr. Mike

Best Dentist in Austin

I have avoided dentists for years because of a bad experience as a child. I was referred to Dr. McCarty by a colleague. Dentistry must have changed! Dr. McCarty and his staff really listened to my concerns and provided the most comfortable, caring dentistry I could have ever imagined. Kudos to the whole dental team. If you want the best in dentistry, then I would recommend Dr. McCarty to anyone without hesitation.

This office handles porcelain veneers, ceramic crowns, and advanced tooth whitening: Tooth-colored fillings, bridges, surgery, root canals, and implants.

Not like any dentist I've ever been to!

I have been to several dentists over my lifetime, but Dr. McCarty and his staff went way past my expectations. He made me feel like a person and not just another set of teeth. He and his staff actually listened to my concerns. Dr. McCarty actually asked me what I wanted for my long term dental needs. Every other dentist I've been to told me what "they" wanted me to have whether I wanted it or not. He was professional, but very gentle and caring. I could go on but Dr. McCarty and his staff are a rare find in today's medical world. I would highly recommend him and his staff.
