Worst Food Ever--Seriously. Absolutely the worst fajitas I have EVER had. No joking. The WORST EVER. I just thought the reviews were full of people who were exaggerating. We went, sat down at an amazing view, and then had some great drinks. At this point I was like, "Yep the other people were full of it, this place rocks" And then the food came...wow. Just WOW. I have never in my life had fajitas that bad. I had a friend who got drunk one time and boiled the fajita meat instead of grilling it--these were worse. DO NOT GO HERE TO EAT. However, go eat somwhere else and think of this place as a really cool bar and you will be in good shape. Seriously, don't ruin your good time by eating food at this place.

Improved Service and Improved Food. I have been an Austinite for nearly 25 years and recently relocted to north Austin. A few weeks ago, in need of a margarita and a relaxing evening I was advised by a friend to revisit the Oasis(since I hadn't in about 6 years). I was amazed at the job they did rebuilding after the fire and the size of the new building. Not only that, but the girls at the front desk were beaming and eager to tell me all about the new bulding and the owner's future plans for a shopping center on the property. My waitress(I believe her name was Clair) was prompt and friendly and very knowledgable about the menu. Her suggestions turned out to be big crowd pleasers. The food was much better than I remembered! The queso, mango tilapia, and beef fajitas were a big hit. Overall, I was greatly impressed with the service, the food, and of course the view...from start to finish!

YUCK!. We drove out for brunch today. They list a Hatch Chiles omelet> I have never seen a smaller ombet. Could it have been a 1 egg omlet? Also, where were the hatch chiles? It was easy to try and find them with such a small omelet. We found 1 very small, piit would of diced hatch, we think. That one little peice could have fit on top of a pencil eraser.

I have what they called huge breakfast tacos. When finally came out, it was 2 small flour tortillas, small spoonful of egg and some unmelted shreded cheese. WHAT A JOKE! I hve never had anything so tasteless.

I know this is a tourist trap, but you would think they could at least have mediocre food so locals would come out ocassionally. I will never recommend this restaurant, but will definitely people to stay away!

Total waste of time and money. Other than the view there is nothing to be had here. Its like you pay for the view and that's it! So we paid $32 for 2 people to sit for 1 1/2 hr waiting for our bland cold food to see a setting sun. Yeah that sums up our trip to Oasis.

Go for the sunset!!!!. The Osis is the place you want to be if you are looking for a magnificent sunset! At sunset the bell rings and the crowd cheers. It is a very unique and impressive atmoshere on lake travis! Overlooking the lake and the many boaters, great for kids too! Drinks are good food ok, but worth every bit of the travel to lake travis. If you go no where else go here!

Oasis does not care. Never even made it out there. I tried to reserve a space to propose to my girlfriend and the hostess told me that they wouldn't even consider it. Said if I wanted a spot I should arrive extra early. Really put off by this, after reading the reveiws about the food I am looking for a new spot. Too bad, the sunset would have been ideal, but they don't own it.

Oasis. been to the oasis 3 times every experience was worst than the last. After the 3rd time ill never go back to the oasis. Fajitas were horrible got the fajitas for 2 with only 4 tortillas. Waitress never came around. The view is amazing but it does not make up for the terrible service and mediocre food.
