Requested best room for wedding night; only jr. suite available. Assured they were very nice. Requested late check-in (11:30pm). Told they'd be expecting us. Asked to see the room. Told it wouldnt be set until check-in. Directed toward Lodge building; thought I was getting room in the Lodge-wrong! Arrival- no one around (as promised). Security called. In dress and tux, we loaded bags into a golf cart that drove us to the 700s tenement. Room- dirty 70s-decor; an old cabin, the type you pay $300/week; dark, electrical outlets loose, closet door off hinges, shower curtain torn, bathroom filthy. Shower unusable- pressure not adjustable and the spray painful. Called to change rooms; front desk person said she had "no power" to help; we'd be charged in full regardless. No managers on site at night. Next morning, two managers gave lip-service; said call after honeymoon and they'd fix things. Never returned calls.
