I have been going to La Fuentes for years and it is always consistently good. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly.

I was told to check this place out when I first moved to Austin. They said someone started serving food in their house and it grew to a point where they had to move out of the house. I understood immediately why. Great food, great service, very reasonable and it feels like you are visiting someone in their home. They do great enchiladas with great enchilada sauce. I don't know that they have as many options of sauce like some other places. However, they know a good thing and they do it well!
Pros: Great food, great service!
Cons: Not a huge choice but they are good at what they do

From the outside this place looks like a shack. Why are those usually the places with the best food? This place was no exception. I went there for lunch and was recommended to order the cheese enchiladas with ranchero sauce, and they did not disappoint. Best ranchero sauce I have ever tasted - creamier than most, but still tomato-y. The price is right too. Highly recommend!
